Unveiling a new experience in casual island elegance is the new Koloa Landing Poipu Beach Wyndham Grand Resort. An official opening blessing was held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 with members of the local community, representatives of Kauai Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr., and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts President Jeff Wagoner, celebrating the first property in Hawaii to fly the Wyndham Grand flag.
The $150 million project is located on tropical land with 85 two, three and four bedroom residential style luxury villas boasting the largest guest accommodations on the island. Koloa Landing Poipu Beach has the unique concept of service selection for a retreat that is as high end and well staffed, or private as desired. Additional villas are scheduled for completion in the next two phases of construction.
The Official Opening included a traditional Hawaiian blessing of good fortune and prosperity and marked the completion of the first of a multi-phase development project. “Koloa Landing Poipu Beach Wyndham Grand is an incredible addition to Wyndham’s growing portfolio of luxurious hotels and resorts in the world’s most sought-after vacation destinations,” said Wagoner.
Koloa Landing Wyndham Grand offers an experience that is reflective of the casual and natural elegance of the island. Villas are well appointed with interior and exterior spaces that transition effortlessly from indoor to al fresco living with floor to ceiling glass doors. Soothing palates of creamy neutrals are punctuated with brilliant island influences, comfortable textiles and finishes are found throughout along with indigenous hardwoods and natural stone, state of the art technology and gourmet kitchens. Tiki torches light the pools and pathways surround the resort, offering convenient walks to local shopping and dining options.
The Koloa Landing Wyndham Grand is located 30 minutes from Lihue Airport, adjacent to all water activities and has a history as a peaceful port for rest and rejuvenation. The resort is managed by Azul Hawaii Resorts (AHR), a management and development company specializing in full-service hotels and both traditional and residential upscale resorts.
