Outrigger Enterprise Group welcomes Kieran Yap as Corporate Tax Director
Mel Wilinsky, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for Outrigger Enterprise Group, is pleased to welcome Kieran Yap as Corporate Tax Director. In his new role, Mr. Yap is responsible for supervising the company’s domestic and international tax affairs including overseeing the Tax Department.
Mr. Yap joins Outrigger from Bank of Hawaii’s Investments Services Group where he held several management positions since joining the bank in 1995, including his most recent position as Senior Vice President, Private Client Services Trust Administration Manager. Prior to that, he worked as a Tax Manager for Coopers & Lybrand for 15 years.
His accomplishments include management of trust departments, oversight of real estate and tax departments, strategic planning and facilitation of restructuring efforts. Mr. Yap led and facilitated the strategic planning effort for the 2010 Bank of Hawaii Investment Services Group (ISG) where he helped develop key initiatives and the group’s implementation plan.
He also served as adjunct professor in the Masters of Accounting program at the University of Hawai’i and was an instructor in national and professional training seminars for Certified Public Accountants (CPA).
Mr. Yap is a graduate of Santa Clara University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce. In 1979, he earned his CPA certification for the State of Hawai’i.
