DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Al Barsha Hotel and Residence Expected to Open Q4 2011

Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with Mohammed Abdullah Juma Humaidan Al Falasi and Delta Emirates Contracting Co. for the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Al Barsha Hotel and Residence. The 344-room property, scheduled to open in Q4 2011, will be the first DoubleTree by Hilton property in Dubai and the second in the UAE, following the recently opened DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah.

“Signing our second hotel in the UAE is a significant milestone for the DoubleTree by Hilton brand and underscores our continued commitment to expanding in the Middle East. As a leading business and tourism destination, Dubai always has been a sought-after location in our long-term global growth plan and with the emirate attracting tourists in growing numbers every year, we look forward to bringing the DoubleTree by Hilton brand to this world-class city,” said Rob Palleschi, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.

With more than 250 hotels and resorts in 17 countries, DoubleTree by Hilton introduces travellers to the brand’s longstanding tradition of distinctively designed hotels that reflect their destination. Other DoubleTree by Hilton characteristic qualities include the warm worldwide welcome of the brand’s legendary chocolate chip cookie to every guest at check-in, the rewards of the prestigious Hilton HHonors® loyalty programme and a unique caring commitment to the communities in which they operate. The DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Al Barsha Hotel and Residence will feature 180 hotel rooms and 164 serviced apartments with four meeting rooms, a business centre, health club and outdoor swimming pool.

This latest hotel development reinforces the brand’s debut in the region. The DoubleTree by Hilton Ras al Khaimah, UAE and DoubleTree by Hilton Aqaba, Jordan opened at the beginning of April and now welcome the world’s travellers with DoubleTree by Hilton’s distinctive hospitality experience.

“We’re extremely pleased to partner with Mohammed Abdullah Juma Humaidan Al Falasi and Delta Emirates Contracting Co. to bring the DoubleTree by Hilton brand to Dubai. Bringing a new brand to the emirate will certainly benefit the industry and the brand’s emphasis on high standards of service and modern facilities as well as its unique character is sure to strike a chord with Dubai’s residents and visitors alike,” said Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Hilton Worldwide, Middle East & Africa.

Hilton Worldwide currently operates 45 hotels and one convention centre in the Middle East & Africa, totalling to 14,454 rooms across 15 countries. There are nine Hilton Worldwide properties currently operating in the UAE across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. The DoubleTree by Hilton, Dubai Al Barsha Hotel and Residence joins seven other properties in the company’s pipeline in the UAE: DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah; Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah; Hilton Mina Al Arab Resort, Ras Al Khaimah; Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach Residence; Conrad Dubai; Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah and Hilton Sharjah.
