Bellagio, Picasso and Le Cirque have been awarded the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award for 2012. With unsurpassed service, world-class dining and luxurious amenities, Bellagio also has the distinction of being the only hotel in the U.S. to have two AAA Five Diamond restaurants under one roof.
“The AAA Five Diamond Award represents the highest level of excellence, and this honor is an important achievement Bellagio, Picasso and Le Cirque have received year after year,” said Randy Morton, president and COO of Bellagio. “I’m extremely proud of Bellagio, its beauty and all we have to offer, but I’m most proud of our incredible team and what they accomplish on a daily basis to provide memorable experiences for our guests.”
Julian Serrano’s renowned restaurant, Picasso, garnered its eleventh AAA Five Diamond Award this year while Le Cirque, by the acclaimed Maccioni family, has earned the award for the ninth consecutive year. Also for nine consecutive years, Bellagio continues to be the only hotel in the U.S. with two AAA Five Diamond restaurants.

In 2001, Bellagio became the first Las Vegas hotel and casino to receive the AAA Five Diamond Award and continues to offer unparalleled quality and service. Inspired by the beautiful villages of Europe, Bellagio overlooks a Mediterranean-blue lake in which The Fountains of Bellagio perform their magnificent aquatic ballet. To be considered for AAA rating and approval, lodgings and restaurants undergo a thorough evaluation by AAA/CAA’s full-time tourism inspectors. Five Diamond establishments go through a much more extensive review. AAA experts judge lodgings on the exterior of the facility, public areas, guest rooms, amenities and bathrooms. Restaurants are evaluated on criteria including food, service, décor and ambiance. Less than one-half percent of more than 31,000 hotels and less than one-quarter percent of 26,000 restaurants achieve this distinction.
