Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces Launches Specialist Training Program for Travel Agents (India)

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces has launched the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces Specialist Program, developed in conjunction with Travel Agent Custom Solutions, the most comprehensive training programme in this space. The training program, which went live in June 2011, will be assimilated into Travel Agent University.
Travel agents must register with Travel Agent University online at http://www.tauniv.com to enroll in the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces Specialist Program.
Targeted at accredited travel professionals across the world, the training is offered through a web-based program which provides an overview and essence of the brand, dovetailing into detailed learning modules covering 23 key hotels in the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces portfolio.
According to Mr. Ajoy Misra, Sr. Vice-President Sales and Marketing, "As the Taj Hotels footprint spreads rapidly across the globe, this platform will provide up-to-the-minute, detailed information for the travel trade, in a user-friendly electronic format. One of the main advantages of this web-based program is that travel professionals have the flexibility to discover more about the world of Taj, at their own pace and will also serve as a perpetual tool which they can refer to for refreshing their knowledge about the Taj Hotels or even a specific property."
Professionals who complete the course will be certified as "Taj Specialists" and will be constantly updated with information, offers and incentives that are specifically targeted to them.
The Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces Specialist Program has been put together in coordination Travel Agent Custom Solutions. Travel Agent University is a service of Travel Agent Custom Solutions, a division of Travel Agent Magazine / Questex Media Group. The site is designed to help travel professionals "learn and earn" at their convenience, through a combination of on-line courses, booking rewards and other informational and relationship-building programs.
Travel Agent University programs are free for all accredited travel agents, working for a travel agency recognized by IATA, ARC or CLIA Registration in Travel Agent University is mandatory, to allow TAU to deliver diplomas and other benefits and to communicate with travel agents about the site and its programs.
