JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Launches Business Class Menu with Malaysia Airlines On Board the Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur Route (China)

Starting August 2011, Malaysia Airlines will be serving a new Chinese menu by JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai on board its new Airbus 330 300 from Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur. Business Class passengers can enjoy the specially crafted menu by Chinese Executive Chef, Michael Lu of Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant, JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai.

Passengers can pick their preferred Chinese dishes from different regions to suit their taste buds, i.e. Si Chuan for those who enjoy spicy food; Shanghainese and Cantonese for those who enjoy a fuller taste.

The ingredients and preparation are halal, suitable for fellow Muslim passengers, while Malaysia Airlines and JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai adhere to stringent hygiene standards to ensure that food quality and delivery are the key priority,h said Michael Malik, multi]properties vice president and general manager of JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai.

The menus are specially developed for Malaysia Airlines, offering a healthy and wholesome selection that is catered to suit the market,h said Chef Michael Lu. Business Class passengers will have the opportunity to taste Wan Hao Chinese Restaurantfs signature Cod fish dish. Using premium produce and ingredients, the fish is boneless and tasty, and the limited use of sauce brings out the natural flavours.

In 2010, Chef Michael Lu was awarded the 2010 Future Star Award by International Channel Shanghai.
In the same year, Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant ranked among Shanghai Tatlerfs Top 150 Best Restaurants in Shanghai award.

The collaboration between JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai and Malaysia Airlines represents a pilot project for both parties.

Welcoming you into a serene setting of carved stone walls and gilded ceiling, this contemporary, elegant and comfortable restaurant showcases fine traditional Cantonese cuisine with dim sum and Shanghainese specialties.
The restaurant is located on the 39th floor level 39 of JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai. Open for lunch and dinner daily from 11:30am to 2:30pm and 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
