New chef adds a new spice to Amman’s kitchen.

Trading his sombrero for a hatta, Chef Juan Licerio has been appointed Executive Sous Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Amman. Chef Juan brings more than 19 years of experience to the Hotel's restaurants, with more than 15 years at Ritz Carlton in Las Vegas, New Orleans, California, Florida and Mexico. He joins Four Seasons from the Fairmont Mayakoba in Cancun, Mexico.

“As a native of Mexico, Juan is able to add an interesting twist to food here and he brings a new and different mix to our team of chefs,” explains Executive Chef Frank Ruidavet. “We are very excited and pleased to have him on board.”

In 2008, Chef Juan won first place out of 365 chefs in Mexico in a competition called Les Toques Blanches. He comes from a family of chefs and is best known for his positive energy, zipping his way in and out of the hotel kitchens preparing anything from a small salad to an immaculate six-course meal. Ask him what he loves most about being a chef and the answer is simple: “Cooking, of course.” A self-proclaimed adrenaline lover, Chef Juan enjoys riding motorcycles and spending time with his wife and three children.
