Luxury All-Inclusive Resort in Dominican Republic Upgrades VIP Rooms, Services and Public Spaces, Highlighted by New Restaurant under the aegis of Seven Michelin-Starred Chef Martin Berasategui

Paradisus Palma Real, the luxury all-inclusive Caribbean resort, has completed its comprehensive redesign, adding 110 Royal Service Suites to its existing inventory, as well a new Royal Service Lounge with its own private Italian restaurant, new juice bar, pool, ECO spa and fitness areas. The resort's service has also been upgraded in every sense, from pre-arrival to Punta Cana and resort arrival, as well as personalized and intuitive butler service throughout.

"On the heels of the success we've seen from Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Perla -- the adults-only luxury concept offered at our Mexican resort -- the demand for this level of personalized service and amenities has increased at all of our properties," said Alvaro Tejeda Schroeder, Senior Vice President for Melia Hotels International Premium Portfolio of hotels. "We are simply responding to the desires of our discerning clientele and exceeding our already high standards at Paradisus Palma Real. In the near future, guests can expect to see similar Royal Service upgrades at our Paradisus Punta Cana resort as well."

A Royal Welcome

Paradisus Palma Real is taking extra measures to customize their Royal Service guests' experience at the resort, starting with a pre-arrival guest contact. Once a guest books their stay at the property, the Royal Service staff will contact them, in order to determine their preferences, dietary restrictions, and desires from their vacation. The resort will be able to make recommendations, pre-book reservations and specially create their personalized journey.

Upon arrival at Punta Cana International Airport, guests will be personally welcomed with refreshing welcome drink and cold towels. A private airport transfer, which is now included for all Royal Service guests, will be waiting to take guests to the luxury resort. As soon as guests arrive on property, they will be greeted in the New Royal Service Lounge, overlooking the ocean - an ideal way to start a relaxing vacation.

Royal Service Upgrades

Paradisus signature Royal Service Suites offer unparalleled all-inclusive luxury in an exclusive and private environment for adults only. Each of the 220 Royal Service Suites comes complete with an in suite Jacuzzi. Modern touches include 32-inch flat screen televisions, iPod docking stations, Expresso coffee machines and now customized mini-bars, bathrooms are stocked with Thierry Mugler bath amenities.

The resort has also taken their service standards up a notch, now providing one modern certificated butler per every six Royal Service Suites. Guests can rest and easily be attended with his or her personal butler, having discreet but efficient assistance.

Paradisus Palma Real now boasts a dramatically designed Royal Service Lounge. The bi-level elegant air-conditioned structure will welcome guests to an oceanfront check-in experience. This VIP welcome area will feature new computers, a sustainability corner, as well as locally inspired cultural books of which guests can indulge.

The additional Royal Service ECO Spa is exclusively for Royal Service guests, featuring five massage treatment eco palapas. A water ritual area - comprised of two hot tubs, pool with hydrotherapy, cold plunge, pediluvio foot bath, showers, steam room and sauna - will be located adjacent to the new Royal Service pool.

The new Italian restaurant, Il Palazzo, will be exclusive for Royal Service Guests, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. This modern Italian experience is located within the new Royal Service lounge and offers unobstructed views of the Caribbean. Il Palazzo will be helmed by Executive Chef Mario Crespi, who recently joined the property from Melia Milano Hotel.

The Royal Service white sand beach area will now boast a newJuice Bar. Guests will be able to order smoothies and freshly squeezed juices, including the signature passion fruit drink. The new Juice Bar is open daily, from morning to early evening.

The resort's main lagoon-style pool will now feature a designated and dedicated Royal Service area, which connects to the Royal Service Lounge. At the Royal Service pool guests will be provided with complimentary sunscreen lotions, Wi-Fi in all the public areas, refreshing fruits and sorbets, sunglass cleanings, and more.

Paradisus Palma Real's new Fitness area, YHI Moves, will be over 2,000 sq. ft, boasting new Life Fitness equipment and a large cardio and weights area, attended by professional personal trainers, offering assistance and complimentary yoga, pilates and stretching classes.

The resort's new Red Lounge is an all-day lobby bar and after-dinner lounge, which changes ambiance to suit the mood and tempo of day and night-time entertainment.

New Restaurant

In April Paradisus Palma Real will open Passion by Martin Berasategui, a fine dining restaurant that juxtaposes Chef Berasategui's Spanish cooking philosophy and style with the remarkable local ingredients of the Caribbean. The dishes and tasting menu, where local seafood will play a starring role, will be designed for pairings, featuring the resort's most exquisite wines. Guests will be able to choose pairings from three separate wine lists that have been created exclusively for the restaurant.

The resort's new GABi Beach has been renovated and re-imagined, featuring chic new furniture and a new layout. This sophisticated-yet-relaxed beach club now welcomes guests and locals alike to mingle, have a drink or snack, dance while famous DJ's spin tracks, or unwind on Bali beds.

Paradisus Palma Real's two new restaurants and two new lounges act as the pinnacle of its eight unique restaurants and eight premium bars. These four new concepts set a new benchmark for food and beverage offerings within the all-inclusive segment, and are demonstrative of the Paradisus brand becoming synonymous with outstanding cuisine, standards and service.
