General Manager Max Musto congratulates and welcomes team members.

General Manager Max Musto is proud to announce the latest promotions and moves to Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano, Egypt.

"In every hotel and successful establishment there lies a successful team working behind it. I am proud to announce the promotions for Seif Eldin as Catering Director, Moataz Madany as Food and Beverage Director, and a valuable addition to the team, Karim Shawky as Assistant Director of Rooms," says Musto.

Karim Shawky, Assistant Director of Rooms

Karim has been part of the family for so many years, having started with Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence on the pre-opening team as reservation agent in 1999. Then later, in 2002, he joined Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh at pre-opening in the capacity of Reservations Manager.

His high level of commitment and professionalism made Karim a pre-opening expert. He has assisted in training and setting up the reservations departments in other sister hotels including Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza, Four Seasons Resort Provence at Terre Blanche and Four Seasons Hotel Damascus.

This array of experiences has prepared him well for the position of Assistant Director of Rooms, where he will be overseeing the whole rooms operations at Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria – Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping, Laundry, Guest Services and Communication.

Karim also is no stranger to Alexandria. He is a graduate of Saint-Marc College and studied Hotel Management. He speaks four languages - French, English, Italian and Spanish.

Moataz Madany, Director of Food and Beverage

After graduating from Hotel Management University, Moataz decided to pursue his career in the food and beverage field. He began his path as a server in 1995 and then worked in number of prestigious hotels.

Moataz joined Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence in the capacity of Assistant Restaurant manager, then transferred to Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza as Restaurant Manager. In 2009, Moataz moved to Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria as Restaurants Director in charge of nine restaurants and bars, then was promoted to Assistant Director of Food and Beverage in 2010. Moataz's commitment and dedication played a big role in shaping the Hotel's Food and Beverage division and created a solid reputation in the city. In his new role as Director of Food and Beverage, Moataz will oversee the full operation with a new goal ahead to introduce a new level of innovation in the field of food and beverage.

Seif El Din, Director of Catering

Seif started with the Food and Beverage pre-opening team at Four Seasons Resort Sharm el Sheikh. In Sharm, Seif could not resist the magical desert and red sea, where he stayed for five years moving around the different resort restaurants to gain his experience in depth. In 2005, he was promoted to Room Service Manager. In 2007, Seif decided to seek a new career opportunity back home in Alexandria. He then dipped his toe in the catering pool in the capacity of Catering Sales Manager with another pre-opening team at Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria, as Assistant Director of Catering. During those years Seif had played a major role in leading the catering team and managing successfully the famous Alexandria Wedding Fair for three years on the row. He was also responsible for driving departmental sales goals.

As of June, Seif will oversee Catering operations with a nine meeting rooms and event banquet space. Whether a small dinner group or a lavish party, Seif and his team will be able to create a professional and a memorable event.
