World’s Largest Sheraton Opens Rejuvenating Haven of Lifestyle Enhancement on Macau’s Cotai Strip

Sheraton Macao Hotel, Cotai Central, the largest hotel in Macau and Starwood Hotels and Resorts’ largest hotel globally, is pleased to introduce Shine Spa for Sheraton, a tranquil haven of lifestyle and pampering developed to help guests maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle during their travels. Located in the newly opened Sheraton Macao Hotel, Shine Spa is the largest Sheraton Spa in the Asia Pacific; offering an inspired menu of rich experiences customized to meet the needs of all guests.

“We are delighted to welcome our guests to Shine Spa by Sheraton – a brand that is synonymous with personalized service and hospitality,” said Mr. Johan Potgieter, Director of Wellness and Leisure of Sheraton Macao Hotel. “We’ve blended Eastern and Western traditions for a series of experiences that relax and restore the mind, body and spirit.”

A global spa concept designed exclusively for Sheraton, Shine Spa at Sheraton Macao Hotel is inspired by the five elements of Feng Shui – wood, fire, earth, metal and water. The decor utilizes lush colors and materials that convey an upscale yet comfortable environment. Rich, lustrous materials in warm creams, browns and burnished gold are highlighted with vivid cobalt blue, tourmaline and coral accents. Throughout the spa, materials with innate shine, such as marble and onyx, high gloss mahogany, polished metal and glass, are incorporated to subtly reinforce the “Shine” theme.

Shine Spa is welcoming and designed to immediately evoke a sense of relaxation and rejuvenation. The 1,700 m2 spa is located on the third floor of the hotel, offering 15 treatment rooms, including five couples suites, along with private changing rooms, a steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and Relaxation Lounge. The Beauty Zone at Shine Spa spans 69 m2 and includes six multifunctional beds for reflexology, manicures and pedicures; and the Hair Salon at Shine Spa offers four stations for hair styling, haircuts, blowouts and more.

Guests can choose from an inspired menu of rich experiences ranging from tranquil massages to luxurious facials. Completely focused on restoring balance and enhancing health, Shine Spa finds its inspiration in fusing celebrated Western traditions with the balancing principles and elements of Feng Shui. Shine Spa for Sheraton utilizes the industry’s most highly acclaimed products including Shine for Sheraton™, Germaine de Capuccini, Terrake, OPI and Paul Mitchell.

Upon arrival, spa therapists will first gauge the needs of guests according to their element, which is determined by identifying their Chinese zodiac sign, favorite season, favorite color, favorite flavor and most active time of the day or night. With this information, therapists will customize a treatment for the day based on their needs: revitalizing tired muscles, rejuvenating the spirit, reactivating vitality or restoring “shine.”

Shine Spa for Sheraton Signature Experiences and Packages

Shine Spa’s inspired menu includes bath and body treatments, massage services, facials and skin care services, as well as complete nail and hair care. Favorite signature experiences include:

· Shine Champagne Bath – Enjoy the warmly fizzing, champagne-scented sensation of tiny bubbles surrounding your body as you sip chilled champagne from a delicate flute.

· Red Algae and Aquatic Mint Wrap – Enveloping the body in a red-algae melting balm and aquatic mint wrap, this hydrating therapy reduces bodily tensions while deeply moisturizing skin, leaving it supple, silky and lightly scented with a refreshing citrus fragrance.

· 24K Gold Massage – Both pampering and curative, this exclusive massage taps into the harmonizing properties of gold, releasing energy blockages. Combined with medicinal basil and massaged into the body, the metal also relieves coughs and enhances deep breathing.

· Bamboo Lava Massage – This therapeutic massage releases blocked energy and stress knots, promoting circulation, sensory nerve perception and lymphatic drainage while providing a deep sense of relaxation and wellbeing.

· Delicate and Sensitive Facial – The ultimate solution for delicate skin issues, this therapy brings nature and science together to calm decongestion, reduce irritation and soothe skin, diminishing redness and desensitizing the complexion.

Spa Packages include:

· Spa for Two – Specifically designed for couples who want to share a spa experience, this pampering package includes a cleansing white sand scrub, 60-minute custom massage and Shine Champagne Bath for two, along with a bottle of champagne.

· Relax – This calming treatment begins with a smoothing sugar scrub and Bamboo Lava Massage. Next, an Excel Therapy 02 Facial refreshes the complexion while our blend of aromatherapy oils promotes complete relaxation, resetting natural sleep patterns.
