Trump SoHo New York, the first Trump Hotel Collection property in downtown Manhattan and the neighborhood’s only AAA Five Diamond-rated hotel, is pleased to offer a fully compatible Chinese language option on its website. Designed specifically to accommodate Chinese-speaking travelers who prefer communicating in their native language, the additional service will appeal to the most rapidly growing sector of the travel market.

“With the tremendous growth in the Chinese market, we wanted to create an online experience tailor-made for people who are more comfortable conversing in Chinese,” said Andreas Oberoi, general manager. “With our fully integrated and comprehensive online Chinese interface, we can provide our guests with added convenience and easier access to helpful in-language resources.”

The Chinese language interface will mirror the functionality of the English version. A Chinese consumer interested in visiting New York can log onto the Trump SoHo website and easily click to switch languages. Already available in Portuguese and Spanish and with the addition of Chinese, and soon-to-launch Russian and French, the Trump SoHo website is uniquely suited to accommodate a growing affluent international audience. Surpassing previous industry growth estimates, China is now the world’s fast growing tourist market with 83 million outbound trips in 2012, up from 10 million in 2000. In the past year, China alone has contributed about 30 percent to the growth in international tourism.

Moreover, because of the strong Chinese economy and increasing wealth within the country, Chinese travelers have surpassed Germans and Americans as the world’s biggest tourism spenders, preferring to consume upscale, luxury goods. According to a recent survey by McKinsey, Chinese consumers today account for nearly 27 percent of the worldwide luxury goods consumption. By 2015, it is estimated that more than one-third of the amount spent globally on high-end watches, bags, shoes and clothing will come from Chinese consumers.

As one of the world’s most prominent luxury brands, Trump SoHo is perfectly positioned to capture this segment of the tourism market. Located on Spring Street in the fashionable SoHo (South of Houston) neighborhood and in close proximity to the posh enclaves of TriBeCa and the West Village, Trump SoHo is just steps from Manhattan’s high-end boutiques, world-class galleries, restaurants, and nightlife. Boasting unrivaled views of the city’s spectacular skyline, Hudson River, Statue of Liberty, Freedom Tower, and Empire State Building, Trump SoHo rises 46 stories with 391 elegant guestrooms and suites, an 11,000 square-foot Spa at Trump featuring New York’s only luxury hammam, Koi SoHo restaurant, the seasonal poolside Bar d’Eau, sophisticated meeting and event space, and the signature services of Trump Attaché.
