To commemorate its twenty-year anniversary, Design Hotels teamed up with the pioneering Finnish design brand Artek. Iconic designer Alvar Aalto’s famous Stool 60 and a table have been specially customized to accompany each of the 1,000 limited edition copies of the 25kg book. Together, the three items comprise a peerless objet d’art for design and travel addicts alike. A smaller coffee table version is also available. Both versions are twin souls of content, providing guided tours of a dreamland to get lost in.
Designed as an ode to travel, this wonderfully oversized book features a curated portfolio of over 240 hotels in 150 destinations around the globe. Serving as a source of inspiration for travelers, designers and architects worldwide, the stunning photography and insightful descriptions bring the hotels and destinations to life. With 800 wanderlust pages bound in fabric hard-cover, this collector’s item tells the story of a movement and a community that began in 1993.
This is the second Red Dot awarded to Design Hotels, as the Design Hotels Book 2011 edition also won this honor.
