Following the launch of its renovated banquet rooms on the fourth and fifth floor in September 2013, Hilton Osaka began the transformation of its guest rooms in stages in January 2014. Today, 288 rooms of its total inventory are newly-renovated spaces that have a fresh, modern Japanese appeal. This second phase of its master plan is set to be completed with all of its rooms renovated by December 2014.

"I am thrilled that Hilton Osaka's transformation master plan is well underway," Tim Soper, vice president of Operations, Japan, Korea and Micronesia, Hilton Worldwide. "For more than 50 years, Hilton Worldwide has always stood for the best in service, comfort and innovation; the transformational master plans that Hilton Osaka and four other Hilton hotels in Japan commenced in 2012 and that continues through 2015, are part of our continued commitment to ongoing facility developments to meet the changing trends of the market."

"Our guest room renovation has been designed to ensure guests feel relaxed and at home; with elegant Japanese design elements that will appeal to both our Japanese and overseas guests. Our new guests rooms and suites have been tailored to meet the changing needs and preferences of leisure and business guests today and for the years to come," said Herman Ehrlich, general manager, Hilton Osaka.

To create the sense of "home away from home", the new guest rooms feature wood furnishings and floorings, as well as, carpeting with subtle Japanese floral design in soft green hues and plum tones. Other Japanese touches include the mini bar that is fashioned to resemble a traditional red lacquer box, and the hints of deep green and reddish brown colors in the interior décor that are typically used on kimonos and Japanese textiles. Additionally, the new Double rooms have a sofa for guests to relax on while they enjoy the views from their windows.

Some highlights of the newly-renovated rooms and suites on the specific floors are:

11TH - 23RD Floors
The new spacious rooms feature elegant furnishings with modern lighting and an enhanced three-point bathroom design.

24TH - 34TH Floors
The new rooms on these higher floors feature a new four-point bathroom that includes a separate bath tub and a separate shower area. The light and natural tones used in the room interiors fittingly complement the stellar city views of the Osaka and Kansai skyline from the windows.

Tower Suite Room
The new Tower Suite Room offers a luxurious space with a 60-square-meter living room and a 30-square-meter master bedroom. Attached to the master bedroom are a walk-in wardrobe and a new four-point bathroom with a double basin vanity. There is also an additional bathroom in the living room built in for the convenience of the guests of the occupant.

To date, the 288 rooms that underwent renovation include 92 twin, 185 double and 11 suite rooms. By the end of 2014, the second phase of the hotel's transformation will be completed with a total inventory of 527 rooms renovated*. Phase Three of the hotel's transformation master plan which begins in 2015 will encompass the Lobby and the 10th floor meeting rooms.

*Total room inventory before the completion of the renovation is 525 across all room categories including Hilton, Deluxe, Executive Rooms and Suites.
