Slated for a 2017 opening date, the dusitD2 Residence Yangon is ideally situated between the city centre and Yangon International Airport. The residence will offer 300 units, a specialty dining outlet, bar, business lounge and recreational facilities including a gym and swimming pool.

Designed around the concept to “feel calm Asian winds and enjoy heartfelt hospitality,” large windows on the ground floor give residents the feeling of indoor/outdoor living. The building’s architecture blends well into the surrounding landscape, whilst multi-storey vertical sky gardens continue the indoor/outdoor theme. The pool, bar and gym are positioned in the top storeys so that residents can take in breezy, scenic views over Yangon.

Dusit has entered into this HMA with real estate developer, Myanmar JP Asset Co. Ltd. The building has been designed by Iida Architect Studio in Japan and the construction management will be handled by Kokusai Land (Vietnam) Ltd.

On the signing, Mr Masami Hatae, Chief Executive Officer of Myanmar JP Asset Co, said, “The dusitD2 in Yangon will be the first property in the city to combine the best of warm Asian hospitality and cutting-edge design. The multi-cultural collaboration between the Thai hospitality management brought by Dusit, the sophisticated building design by our Japanese architects at Iida Studio, the Japanese project consulting and construction management by Kosukai Land and the excellent cooperation of our local Myanmar partners will ensure the project is a truly great success, bringing together the very best of Asian innovation and hospitality.”

“We are very pleased to introduce the dusitD2 brand in Yangon which will be a tremendous addition to our portfolio,” adds Dusit International Director of Hotel Business Development, Mr Ryan Chen. “Our team will work closely with the developer and all stakeholders to ensure the delivery of a successful project. With the growth of Myanmar’s tourism industry, we truly look forward to showcasing Dusit’s world-renowned hospitality in this charming city.”
