Outrigger Resorts has announced a mouth-watering array of dining and entertainment options in the Maldives, Phuket and Koh Samui for Christmas and New Year. In Phuket and Samui, the festive season programs are open to local residents as well as resort guests.
Seasonal Dreams Come True in the Maldives
The Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort is pushing the boat out big style 19 Dec to 1 Jan. Guests on the idyllic isle in the Ghaafu Daalu Atoll can enjoy sensations such as Around the World Gourmet Dinner, Santa visits, cocktails by the pool, DJ chill sessions, beach BBQs, open air movie nights, treasure hunts for kids, yoga on the beach, chocolate Santa and cookie decorating, sunset parasailing, semi submarine mermaid shows, trips to see authentic Maldivian island life, and more.
The Outrigger also offers a selection of “Out of the Ordinary Stuff” such as local island excursions, equator cruises, luxury yacht trips, renewal of vows, sunken beach table dining, and cooking classes. The Outrigger’s festive experts include Matty Wainright (DJ from Bali), Christopher Long (executive chef), Roopesh Mohan (yoga and fitness trainer), Li Thy Thuy – ‘Bobby’ (spa treatments), Meliza Ricafrente (Kids Club), Dora Dzurjak (cocktails and wine), Don Sheehan (mixologist & cigars), and Santa Claus (dream maker).

Christmas and New Year Extravaganzas at Outrigger Phuket
In Phuket, Executive Chef Roberto Conrad and his team have created a smorgasbord of Christmas and New Year sensations 24 Dec to 1 Jan. Savour a traditional Christmas Eve brunch at Metzo’s with a turkey carving station and free flow drinks, or a sensational buffet dinner at Locavore with the heart-warming sound of a local school choir singing carols around the hotel’s outlets.
There are seafood buffets, beachfront BBQs, lobster specials, Roberto’s slow smoked pork ribs, and more before the big one on New Year’s Eve. For the 31st, live bands, DJ, table magicians, fireworks and a choice of special menus at three outlets bring in the New Year in tropical Thai style. Samui Gourmet Affair and Party
The Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort has created a Christmas Eve gourmet affair with roast turkey, beef wellington, BBQ station, honey leg ham, smoked salmon and Christmas music by the beach. On New Year’s Eve Chef Tor’s luxurious international gala buffet features live cooking stations, seafood on ice, imported meats and Thai classics. The party kicks off with the band playing cultural Thai dance and Isan ponglang performances.
