The hotel 20 Degrés Sud wants to refresh all the uniforms its employees in goal to enhance the image of the company, only Relais & Châteaux of Mauritius Island.
Then, to notify this renewal, the management thought about unveiling creations with high quality level close to professional designers’ works. To do so, they decided to associate ourselves with art design students of the University of Mauritius to organise a competition between them and giving them the chance to lay out their talent in a professional vocational project.
After the first meeting with the candidates dated on July3rd, 2018, 20° Sud team exposed there vision concerning the new uniforms to the students: remind the spirit of the hotel, with adding some personalised details. The students were also invited to visit the hotel to be able to form for themselves a conception of the environment and the ambiance of the Hôtel 20° Sud.
This is the first uniform design competition organised on Mauritius Island with the students of the art and design department from the University of Mauritius and the Hotel is proud to include the youth and “freshness” into this project. With this project 20 Degrés Sud wants to take part in the Mauritian youth development and also its country’s development.
The 26 candidates, split in 9 teams have until the 13th of July to finalise the patterns of each hotel department.
The hotel of 20 Degres Sud is pleased to invite you to the closing ceremony of the competition of design of the uniforms 2018 which will take place on August 4 at the hotel.
