Anton Gschwendtner focuses on a clear line and consistent quality. A philosophy which he brings to his guests without effort and all the more with taste, accompanied by professional and cordial service and outstanding wine competence.

"We congratulate Anton Gschwendtner on this award, which is a confirmation of his quality, his work and his innovative strength," said Bernd A. Zängle, General Manager of the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin in Stuttgart.

Anton Gschwendtner combines modern French cuisine with Asian influences. The cuisine is mainly based on regional and seasonal products. Even before he earned his first Michelin star in Vienna, he worked in numerous gourmet restaurants in German-speaking countries. His career stations include Johann Lafers “Val d’Or“ at the Stromburg, the Kunststuben in Küssnacht, the star restaurant in the Hotel Bareiss in Baiersbronn and the Hotel Bayerischer Hof Munich.

Patrick Bittner from the Français also defended his star at the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof. The Français stands for light French cuisine based on classic elements. Bittner, who has also cooked 17 points in Gault Millau, has been awarded the Michelin star again and again since 2009.

"It is also an incentive for our Steigenberger brand to work with such experienced and brilliant chefs. Anton Gschwendtner and Patrick Bittner are thus setting the first impulse in the anniversary year of our 90 year-long history," said Thomas Willms, CEO, Deutsche Hospitality.
