Inspired by tributes to the hard work and sacrifice of Essential Workers, we wanted to shine the light on some of the heroes of the tourism industry. The Travel Advisors, Destination Specialists and members of their team who have worked especially hard this year, often for nothing in return, who have remained dedicated to serving their clients and keeping the dream of travel alive. Now more than ever, those in the travel and tourism space, are the ones that deserve and need a vacation.
So we created the "The Cayuga Gratitude Giveaway." Members of the travel trade (DMCs, Tour Operators, Wholesale Partners and Travel Advisors) are invited to nominate individuals on the front lines of travel - specifically Travel Advisors, Destination Specialists and members of their team - for a chance to win an exceptional Costa Rican escape with their family or loved one, courtesy of The Cayuga Collection. We developed two itineraries that the winner can choose from - one for families and one for adults - featuring the top suites at our hotels and lodges, exceptional meals, private experiences with our expert naturalist guides, spa treatments to soothe away months of stress and special surprises.
So who will you nominate? Your accounting partner who kept it all straight despite months of confusion and change? Your top producing Advisor? Or someone new to the industry who was just starting to build their business? We want to hear your stories and reward a deserving someone with a much-needed trip. Who is eligible for nomination?
Travel advisors, destination specialists and members of their team which can include marketing, product managers & accounting.
Who can nominate?
DMCs, tour operators, other travel advisors. This is a way to say thank you and acknowledge your peers and best advisor partners.
How do I nominate someone?
To nominate an advisor, complete THIS BRIEF FORM including the nominee’s name, email, travel agency, any affiliation & a few sentences about why you are selecting them.
What is included in the trip?
All accommodations, transportation within Costa Rica, a selection of our top private experiences in each destination, multiple meals and more. See our Cayuga Gratitude Giveaway Trip Details flyer for complete details. International airfare, some meals and any experiences not noted in the itinerary are an additional expense.
What is the timing of this?
Nominations will be accepted through August 15th, 2020. A panel of our local staff will select our top 5 nominees on August 17. Members of the travel industry will have the opportunity to vote on our tip 5 finalists until September 15th. The trip winner will be announced September 30th, 2020.
Winners must redeem their trip & travel by December 20, 2021. Select Blackout Dates apply (President's Week, & Festive Season.)
Is there any catch?
You can’t nominate yourself – this is about shining the spotlight on another peer in your industry and paying the good will forward.
