Joining the hotel on 1 November 2020, Savino brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience to the role. He has had an extensive career with roles spanning the globe, including in Japan, Egypt, the UK, Dubai and France. He has a passion for food & beverage, has been at the helm of several successful hotel openings, and is committed to driving luxury service, quality standards and developing teams.
Under Jumeirah Group’s committed management, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort is Jumeirah’s flagship property in Abu Dhabi. The hotel sits on the island’s prime beach, providing a backdrop of refined island life and quiet understated luxury. Under his leadership, Savino aims to maintain and exceed its reputation as the leading luxury hotel in the region.
Savino has more than three years’ experience in leading Jumeirah Group hotels, having originally been appointed in 2017 as the General Manager of Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa in Kuwait. During his tenure at the property, the hotel retained the number one position in RGI and TripAdvisor, as well as maintaining an outstanding reputation in the market. Under his leadership, the team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa achieved 11 awards in 2018, including accolades from the World Travel Awards Middle East, Haute Grandeur and Business Traveller Middle East.
An Italian national, with dual French citizenship, Savino speaks fluent English, French and Italian and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Hotel School Lesdiguieres in France.
