This weekend marks the highly anticipated opening of Six Senses Ibiza, poised to establish itself as one of the world’s most discerning destinations for today’s generation of creatives and culture seekers.

Conceived by architect and developer Jonathan Leitersdorf, the year-round destination set in secluded Xarraca bay offers a comprehensive range of amenities and programming, farm-to-table dining, music, art, sustainable fashion, culture, longevity and wellness.

Each experience is inspired by the traditions and values of the island’s north to deliver an intentional destination that provokes meaningful moments of community, spirituality and celebration.

Xarraca Bay is a long-hidden secret on Ibiza’s northern tip. Integrated into its contours to enjoy unobstructed sunsets, the property features 116 guest rooms and suites, including one-of-a-kind cave suites built into the cliffs. There are also a handful of Village Residences ideal for large groups or longer-term stays.

Sustainably Designed

Powered by its own renewable energy source - up to 51 percent at any given moment – and with punchy zero waste and zero single-use plastic targets, the resort has sustainability at its core. The result is the Balearic Islands’ first resort and residential community to achieve certification by BREEAM, the world’s original and leading assessment of sustainability within the built environment, and a new benchmark for sustainable real estate worldwide.

Six Senses Ibiza is a reflection of the natural vibrations and vitality of the Balearics,” architect and developer Jonathan Leitersdorf explains. “By channeling the destination’s unique sense of community and celebration, we have created a truly transformative environment wherein guests are invited to meaningfully connect with nature, each other and themselves while discovering the elements that make Ibiza unlike anywhere else in the world.”

Authentic Culinary Adventures

Led by Master Chef Eyal Shani, the resort’s flagship dining destination, HaSalon Ibiza, and indeed the full bar and restaurant offering, showcase the powers of organic, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients in new and innovative ways. Shani intends to revitalize Ibiza’s energy for plant-based dining, harnessing the island’s natural abundance of ingredients — from avocados to watermelons, oranges, lemons and Ibiza rock salt.

The goal is for the food to do the talking.

There is also a rich supply of olive oil, an absolute essential for Shani. The open kitchen allows the guests to become part of Shani’s creative process as they gather at the 50-seat chef’s table in the shade of 100-year-old olive trees.

The Farmers’ Market offers an authentic selection of natural and sustainable specialty items, from wood-fired pizzas to traditional coffees and treats.

The Orchard is the property’s most intimate dining venue that blends classic, local cuisine with Mexican-Peruvian cocktails. Live Cave, Twin Bar, and Farmacy Bar offer nourishing mixology experiences comprised of organic, made-to-order juices, elixirs, wines, and spirits.

To ring in its opening season, Six Senses Ibiza will also be the home to a summer residency of New York City’s renowned dining destination, BONDST through an eclectic menu of Japanese cuisine.

Serenity for the Senses

From signature and locally inspired treatments, to biohacking that optimizes the body’s natural recovery systems, multi-layered wellness workshops and bespoke skincare solutions, guests’ individual needs and intentions will be well catered to at the Six Senses Spa.

The Rose Bar offers a one-of-a-kind destination for impactful longevity programs, combining diagnostics with nutritional guidance and modern healing methods to optimize health and performance. The 12,900 square foot (1,200 square meter) space also houses a state-of-the-art fitness area, rooftop yoga platform, outdoor boxing ring, steam room, salon, hot bath and more.

Immersive Retreats: Once in a Lifetime, Twice a Year

To lead guests to great consciousness, passion, reconnection, and a reawakened sense of self, Six Senses Ibiza offers multi-day immersions during the cool season.

Starting this year in September, ‘Grow a New Body with Dr. Villoldo’ taps into unique genealogies to detoxify and reset the body and ‘Journey to Profound Transformation with Marisa Peer’ unlocks guests’ full potential.

The first of the recurring YogaFlow and BodyFlow immersions will take place between October 20 and 26, incorporating the benefits of movement, community and self-care to ignite a new zest for life. For guests short on time, the resort offers mini immersions in as little as 90 minutes.

Where Creativity Flourishes

With programming masterminded by composer, producer, and recording artist Tomer Biran, and supported by music industry executive Shivas Howard-Brown, the Beach Caves is the heartbeat of the resort.

The pair will channel Ibiza’s ancient landscape and hypnotic natural rhythms, using McIntosh and Sonus faber technology to create an immersive sensory experience through live music events and performances that represent cultures from all over the world.

The finishing touch is a DJ booth created specifically for vinyl with a selection of curated Ibiza titles for Beach Cave guests to mix.

Visual arts are represented in the galleries of the resort’s corridors and public spaces through a unique shoppable collection curated by Magnum Photo.

Each of the eighteen gallery concepts has an individual message presenting and weaving authentic, visual storytelling into the Six Senses backdrop to inspire consciousness throughout.

Agora, a Sustainable Fashion Concept

Part shop, part entertainment and discovery center, Agora seeks to bring together the ideas of luxury and sustainability.

Curated by renowned fashion editors Daniela Agnelli and Tiffanie Darke, the idea behind Agora is to redefine luxury today.

We believe the true modern meaning of luxury is moving through the world in as frictionless a way as possible,” they say. The story of Agora has been curated into four chapters: ‘Recycle’, ‘Restore’, ‘Restore’ and ‘Rent’.

Experiences, Escapes and Explorations

Guests can get their adrenaline pumping through cliff jumping or unwind with a serene selection of complimentary water activities including snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding or underwater guided meditation.

Those who want to unlock the magic of the surrounding area can take a paddle trip to the fishermen’s huts at Cala Xuclar, shop at the local Sunday craft market in bohemian San Juan or take a boat trip to the mystical Es Vedra island.

A Permanent Place in Paradise

Guests are invited to carve out their own dedicated space at Six Senses Residences Ibiza.

Spanning from four to seven-bedrooms, the for-sale estates have been masterfully designed with both scale and flow in mind, ensuring optimized island living year-round.

As an integral part of the larger Six Senses Ibiza community, residents have unparalleled access to all resort services and amenities including in-room dining, Guest Experience Maker, wellness programming and more. Owners also receive added benefits across the entire Six Senses portfolio including exclusive room rates.

Starting rates for Six Senses Ibiza begin at EUR 750 for the hot season and EUR 390 for the cold season.
