The “Kempinski Culinary Tour” is a series of culinary evenings in which the chef of restaurant Sophia, local Marjo Povšnar, hands over the control of the kitchen of the gourmet restaurant to a guest chef for two nights.

Guests get to enjoy a unique and unforgettable menu.

There are three exceptional individuals with spectacular culinary skills and a unique culinary philosophy from the Kempinski family joining us this season. Each event will be unique and special in its own way and, above all, superb in its culinary flavours.

The dates of the events are:

1 & 2 October – restaurant with two Michelin Stars; Cà d’Oro, St Moritz

Head Chef Reto and Executive Chef Matthias Schmidberger are coming from the famous Swiss resort and sister hotel Grand Hotel Des Bains Kempinski St Moritz to serve a rich five-course menu. The menu includes a range of spectacular tastes, from Norwegian lobster to wagyu beef. The price of the culinary evening is EUR 195 for a five-course tasting menu with chosen wine pairing by the hotel sommelier.

15 & 16 October – Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden, chef Sebastian Walter

From the German Alps and the vicinity of the Eagle’s Nest comes chef Sebastian Walter, whose five-course menu is still shrouded in mystery, but can promise traditional Alpine cuisine presented in a modern and sophisticated way and combined with flavours of international cuisine. The price of the culinary evening is EUR 145 for a five-course tasting menu with chosen wine pairing by the hotel sommelier.
Dinner can be booked through the hotel at reservations.portoroz@kempinski.com or on +386 5 692 7000.

Ultimate luxury experience will end on 2021-10-16
