Here, two restaurants helmed by the island’s most famous chef, private pools, a serene wellness area, and a boutique cinema are backdropped by shimmering crystal-clear waters and mountain views.

Nestled away in an idyllic cove, the property opens up to reveal a sprawling, lush retreat—a perfect spot for a sublimely private experience. Settle in, explore, relax, and indulge.

The concept pays homage to the area’s golden age of the 1950s and 60s with a sophisticated grandeur that’s underlined by the surrounding natural beauty.

The white-walled and stone exteriors are integrated with the island landscape through an airy design, staggered volumes, and flat, landscaped roofs, which also host solar panels that supply much of the operating energy requirements.

The connection to nature continues inside, where interior designer Rafael Balaguer has used an abundance of upscale natural materials like local stone, marble, teak, hemlock, and linen.

Such features are augmented by contemporary design pieces, including Kettal aluminum dining tables, Gloster sofas with woven rope backrests, and plush outdoor rugs by Besana Moquette. All of this and more combines to make the property a flawless complement to its cosmopolitan sister, El Llorenç Parc de la Mar, in the heart of Palma.

The seamless blend of contemporary luxury and natural beauty is reflected in El Vicenç de la Mar’s 30 double rooms and five suites. Large windows bathe the interiors with natural light, illuminating earthy shades and bespoke furniture alongside standout pieces by Kartell, Andreu World, and Roche Bobois, among others.

Custom towels by Bassols and exclusive hinoki-scented bath amenities by Le Labo are found in bathrooms walled in fresh ocean-green tiles, created by ADEX, one of Spain’s oldest and most well-known ceramic producers. Moreover, many rooms have private terraces, and some even feature semi-private or fully private pools and/or Jacuzzis.

Following the success of El Llorenç’s DINS Santi Taura restaurant, which was awarded a Michelin star in 2021 and two Repsol Suns, the renowned Mallorcan chef Santi Taura has been tapped to now lead El Vicenç’s two inspiring dining options, both of which follow a 0 KM origin philosophy.

On the fourth floor of the property is Restaurant El Vicenç, with an à la carte fine-dining menu featuring cuisine inspired by the traditional Mallorcan cookbook and a focus on local and seasonal produce.

In the summer season, guests are also invited to dine on the rooftop terrace with stunning sea views.

On the ground level is the bistro U Mayol, with a menu inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean at large, offering island classics, tapas, rice dishes, fresh fish, among much else, alongside direct views of Molins cove. For more spontaneous indulgences, the rooftop and lobby bars serve signature drinks and cocktails alongside informal tapas menus.

In addition to a bar, the rooftop also boasts a pool with stunning views, while the ground floor Ç Wellness Studio features a 13-meter-long heated pool and smaller cold-water pool, with a skylight flooding the spaces with daylight.

The tranquil wellness area is also replete with a Jacuzzi, steam bath, Finish sauna, ice fountain, sensation showers, and Japanese garden, plus a relaxation area with loungers.

A range of indulgent treatments are also available, and all of them are carried out using products from Natura Bissé, rounding out a wellness concept dedicated to both mind and body. A fitness center, with personal trainers available upon request, is also open 24 hours a day.

Situated in a location known for not only the sea but also the surrounding mountains, another standout feature of the property is its Bike Center, which encourages exploration on two wheels instead of four. Here guests can rent bikes or store their own, protected with a state-of-the-art security system.

Additional services include water and fruit to take on rides, laundry, lockers, and a bike concierge who will work with guests to develop personalized routes.

Furthermore, on the hotel’s second floor, guests will find a library and cinema, where they can read and borrow books, play games like chess, backgammon, and billiards, and also attend private film screenings.

Location

Cala Molins is one of four coves—the others being Cala Carbó, Cala Barques, and Cala Clara—in the region of Cala Sant Vicenç on the northern coast of Mallorca. The secluded area is renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and pristine white-sand beaches as well as the lush mountain landscape just minutes inland.

Such qualities attracted a steady stream of affluent travelers from around the world in the 1950s and 60s, but in the intervening decades it lost much of this traction. Now, however, such a spirit is being revived, with Cala Sant Vicenç once again becoming a quiet luxury destination on the island.

With the sea to one side and mountains to the other, it is an ideal location for sports on both land and water and for excursions into nature by both foot and bike. Also nearby is the leisure-oriented town of Sierra de Tramuntana, where port markets and hidden corners await discovery.
