Hotels need 1.5m staff

According to research conducted by Global Future and Foresight, the regional hospitality industry will need around 1.5m employees by 2017 to cope with the tremendous boom underway in the sector. Other issues facing hotels in the region include competition for staff from other operators, a hike in the cost of living, emerging economies now providing adequate employment at home and the reluctance of nationals to take jobs in the industry.
