The world’s first and largest luxury hotel brand, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, has officially opened its doors to InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace, a refined oasis of discreet luxury in the heart of Rome.

Nestled within one of Rome’s most iconic streets where La Dolce Vita began, Via Veneto, the hotel embodies the glamour and style synonymous with the city and is steeped in history.

InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace bears the signature of renowned Italian architect Carlo Busiri Vici, occupying a landmark building originally constructed in 1900 to host ambassadors staying in Rome, before serving as the American Embassy Library in 1946.

The hotel’s design borrows from the Renaissance’s classic architectural elements, gables, and columns, to create symmetrical elegant shapes and the interiors reflect meticulous attention to detail.

They provide the hotel with that “fin de siècle” elegance creating a space which is theatrical yet perfectly captured by the concept of discreet luxury.

InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace will offer 160 rooms and luxury suites in a style that combine neo-classical details with chic contemporary design.

Residential in nature, the hotel is just a short walk away from some of Rome's most iconic landmarks, including the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon, the hotel's central location makes it an ideal base all travellers looking to explore the rich history, culture, and art that Rome has to offer.

Guests will be embraced by touches of subtle luxury and elegant ambiance in each of the hotel’s 160 rooms. Inspired by sophisticated Italian apartments, the spaces feature a serene palette of colours, shun all sense of standardisation, and aim to underscore Italian traditions and craftmanship.

Bespoke details and design emphasize the ancient city’s influence, from brass handles reimagined to resemble Roman fluted columns to leather-crafted headboards and fluted wall lamps, all of which are custom crafted by Italian artisans.

Every aspect of the design of InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace ensures a warm engaging celebration of contrasts and delights based on Rome’s heritage, Italian modernity, and the legacy of the Via Veneto.

Multiple culinary delights await guests, including Scarpetta NYC, serving elevated Italian cuisine alongside flavours of a traditional American steakhouse, for lunch and dinner in a genuine, intimate, and convivial urban space in addition to Charlie's Rooftop and Anita’s Bar and Lounge.

Scarpetta NYC will provide an elegant atmosphere where Italian food and wine traditions mingle with the vibrance of New York.

Aiming to enhance the aromas and flavours of raw ingredients, the wine list will comprise both Italian and American selections and the New York-style cocktail menu makes for an inspired and unique epicurean adventure.

Offering beautiful views over the city, Charlie’s Rooftop is inspired by the jovial spirit of a “good time Charlie,” with an atmosphere befitting modern travellers that can enjoy live music and exclusive DJ sets, sophisticated mixology, and delicious canapés.

Anita’s Lounge & Bar is the first space guests see when they enter the hotel, home to a magnificent 600-bulb chandelier. Whether guests find themselves there for just a moment or decide to linger, Anita’s offers a comfortable space to relax or socialize.
