Meliá will also open the Sol Turquesa Beach hotel before the end of the year, thus increasing its total hotel portfolio in Cuba to 34.

Meliá Hotels International continues to strengthen the tourism experience it offers in Cuba's top destinations with the opening of the new Meliá Trinidad Peninsula, a stunning hotel nestled in one of the country's most iconic areas.

On the beachfront and with stunning views of the Sierra del Escambray, the newly opened Meliá Trinidad Peninsula offers a unique world-class experience.

Located just 15 minutes from Trinidad's old town, one of the Caribbean's best-preserved colonial cities and a World Heritage Site, the hotel is the perfect choice for experiencing the destination.

The property, surrounded by large outdoor spaces with swimming pools and gardens overlooking the Caribbean Sea, features 401 rooms.

Some of them boast stunning sea views, with 80 of them being The Level, hence offering guests over 18 years of age a more personalised stay, with access to unique spaces and services that will enhance their experience, as well as a selection of swim-up rooms (with access to their own swimming pool).

Experience-wise, Meliá Trinidad Península also strives to offer an unrivalled dining experience with 14 restaurants and bars that offer guests the best international cuisine and wellness areas such as the YHI Spa, offering an array of the finest treatments.

Meliá Trinidad Península is particularly committed to the MICE segment, with 4 spacious venues that can accommodate over 1,400 attendees.

Furthermore, the hotel features a convenient independent reception area for events and, thanks to its stunning outdoor areas, the beach, pool and gardens can be alternative locations to organise the perfect event.

New proposals to discover a unique destination

Meliá Hotels International keeps strengthening its portfolio in Cuba with the opening of several hotels this year. The company aims to have 34 operational hotels in the country by the end of 2023, offering new experiences in urban and beach destinations.

Among the latest news, the recent opening of two hotels in Havana: INNSiDE Habana Catedral and Sevilla Habana Affiliated by Meliá hotel.

This summer, the 50-room INNSiDE Habana Catedral hotel began offering a lifestyle hotel experience perfect for travellers looking to discover the Cuban capital from its very heart.

The hotel, centrally located in Cathedral Square, aims to connect the community while creating unique experiences.

With its prime location in Old Havana, a World Heritage Site, and its charming spaces, the 178-room Sevilla Habana Affiliated by Meliá Hotel is the perfect choice for exploring and discovering the city.

Furthermore, its rooftop with breathtaking views of the Malecón, its dining proposal, which combines Cuban and international cuisines, a swimming pool and different entertainment options, complete a unique experience to live the destination.

On 15 December, Meliá Hotels International will also open the doors of Sol Turquesa Beach, a resort located in a beautiful natural setting on Yuraguanal Beach in Holguín. With the Sol brand's signature energy, perfect for family holidays, this hotel will offer a wide array of services and experiences to enjoy the Caribbean island.

From 2024, the hotel company expects to add another three hotels to its portfolio in Cuba, including the arrival of luxury brand The Meliá Collection early next year with Havana's 188-room Hotel Plaza, a city icon.

Preserving its traditional flavour while introducing the luxury services and amenities that the most discerning and experienced guests demand, this hotel, renowned for its neoclassical architecture, is set to become a leader in luxury hospitality in the destination.
