This year, Great Place to Work surveyed more than 280 companies, out of which, 54 are recognised and awarded as the ‘Best Workplaces in Greater China 2023’, assessed through credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie five aspects.
“We are incredibly proud to be the number one on 2023 Best Workplace List in Greater China. Our ‘Putting People First’ culture and core value continue to lead our growth as a company,” said Yibing Mao, President, Greater China, Marriott International.
“Associates are the cornerstone of our company’s sustainable business growth. We will continue to grow great leaders at all levels, invest in our associates and further attract best talent, which we believe is the key to maintain our company’s competitiveness in the industry and be the best place to work.”
This year, Marriott International launched its new people brand 'Be' as the company continues to welcome top talent around the world.
The program focuses on three pillars: begin, belong, and become, aimed at empowering associates to fulfil their personal career goals, while promoting the company's inclusive and welcoming culture.
Currently, Marriott operates more than 520 hotels in Greater China and the hotels employs more than 90,000 associates, with local general managers accounting for nearly 80% of its workforce.
The company is also committed to promoting gender equality, and prioritize female leadership on the development, with 45% of its management positions and one out of five general manager are women in Greater China.
