Crescent Hotels & Resorts, a rapidly growing hotel and resort management and ownership company, announced today that Pamela A. Suhr has joined the company as chief operating officer. She will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company's rapidly growing hotel portfolio and play an important role in the company's acquisition program.

"Pam has an extensive marketing and operations background and been a key player on acquisition teams that have purchased hundreds of millions of dollars of hotel and resort assets," said Michael George, Crescent president and CEO. "In her 20-plus-year hospitality career, she has worked at the property, regional and national levels, especially with the first-class, full- service and premium-branded, select-service properties that are typical of our portfolio. She brings a full complement of leadership, operations and marketing skills and adds seasoned depth to our senior management team. She also has built strong, positive relationships with the leading hotel brands."

George noted that Suhr will provide significant input into the company's aggressive acquisition program. "We seek properties that can benefit from repositioning and strong management," he noted. "We will look to Pam for creative ways to upgrade properties so that they can quickly gain RevPAR premiums in their respective markets. Her in-depth experience in take-over of properties will help us transition more seamlessly and ramp up more quickly."

Suhr previously was senior vice president, operations and development for HEI Hotel & Resorts, where she provided operational review and expense direction for the acquisition and development team. She played a role in the acquisition and development of nearly $1.0 billion in hotel real estate. She joined HEI as senior vice president, sales and marketing, where she directed the transition of new properties, as well as portfolio-wide marketing efforts.

Previously, she spent a 14-year career with Interstate Hotels and Resorts, rising to senior vice president, sales and marketing. In 2000, she transferred into operations where she oversaw operations for a 26-hotel and resort portfolio of full- and select-service properties and a 45-hotel portfolio, consisting primarily of upscale select-service properties.
