Building on its 35-year legacy of crafting architectural havens in harmony with nature, Aman will soon unveil its newest coastal sanctuary, Amanvari, set to open in spring 2026.

A tranquil retreat along the untouched East Cape of Baja California, Mexico, the 18-key resort and its exclusive collection of branded residences will bring the Aman lifestyle- defined by nature, privacy and unparalleled hospitality- to the destination for the first time.

With original design by Heah & Co., realised by Elastic Architects, Amanvari follows Aman's unwavering dedication to merging nature and architecture.

Resting at the meeting point of three distinct landscapes - beachfront, desert and estuary - the resort is thoughtfully positioned to celebrate its natural setting. With organic, contemporary aesthetics that blend indoors and out, Amanvari' s Casitas at an elevated height command sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez, the Sierra de la Laguna mountains and the ever-changing skies of the East Cape.

Aman Residences too will follow suit, offering private sanctuaries immersed in nature, with villas positioned on the sand, above with views across the Sea of Cortes, or overlooking the estate's Robert Trent Jones II-designed golf course.

Elsewhere, interiors are crafted in a palette of sand-hued materials, echoing the tones of the surrounding terrain. A blend of white concrete, natural stone and tropical hardwoods defines the design language, with framed views and open-air courtyards drawing the eye towards the horizon and mountains.

Grounding the resort in local spirit, bespoke ceramics and original artworks by Mexican artisans will finish each space.

Beyond a profound connection with its natural surroundings, Amanvari will offer a collection of exceptional resort amenities.

Distinctive dining venues will range from Italian to Japanese, alongside the vibrant flavours and seasonal bounty of Baja.

The Aman Spa will reflect the brand's longevity-focused approach, featuring a contemporary interpretation of a temazcal (sweat lodge), Aman's signature Spa Houses, an open-air yoga pavilion and tranquil spaces designed for calm reflection.

Amanvari will form part of the premier community of Costa Palmas on the East Cape - a 1,500- acre private estate encompassing 18 acres of organic orchards and farms, three miles of swimmable beach and a yacht club and deep-water marina.

Immersed in the untouched beauty of the East Cape, where vast desert landscapes meet the turquoise waters of the Sea of Cortez, guests will enjoy unrivalled access to snorkeling, diving, hiking and sailing.

For those seeking to make this remote setting a permanent home, residence ownership will offer a seamless extension of the Aman lifestyle with expansive private pools and generous courtyards blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. Adding to the sense of seclusion, private entrances and drop-offs will offer sense of retreat, while thoughtful landscaping and panoramic views create an intimate and immersive connection to the surrounding environment.

A dedicated team will oversee personalised services and 24/7 global support from the Aman Private Office.

Additional benefits include bespoke adventure planning service, in-residence dining, housekeeping and private chef and butler services.

Amanvari will become Aman's sixth in the Americas and Caribbean, joining a robust pipeline of further global developments, including Aman Beverly Hills, Aman Miami Beach and Amancaya, Bahamas. The resort is scheduled to open in spring 2026, with further details to be revealed in due course.

About Aman

Aman was founded in 1988 with the vision of building a collection of intimate retreats with the unassuming, warm hospitality of a gracious private home. The first, Amanpuri (place of peace), in Phuket, Thailand, introduced the concept and, since then, Aman has grown to encompass 36 exquisitely serene hotels, resorts and branded residences, ranging from the urban to the remote, in 20 destinations across the globe. Aman has a robust pipeline of future projects under construction.

In recent years, Aman Group has grown to offer its coveted lifestyle beyond the parameters of its havens including Aman Skincare (2018), supplement range Sva (2020), Aman Fine Fragrance (2020), ready-to wear collection The Essentials by Aman (2021), performance skincare line Aman Essential Skin (2023) and Aman Interiors (2023) offering bespoke designed furniture items inspired by the world of Aman.

With innovation a cornerstone of the brand's philosophy, in 2020 Aman introduced a new hotel brand, Janu- meaning'soul' in Sanskrit. Janu offers a unique take on hospitality where genuine human interaction, playful expression and social wellness are at the core of the experience. Janu aims to bring balance to the head and heart and rekindle the soul. In March 2024, Janu's inaugural hotel, Janu Tokyo, opened its doors and several forthcoming Janu hotels are already in development.
