The newly opened Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur is setting new standards for the city’s spa scene by being the first spa in Asia licensed to offer Haki® stretch & relax. The debut of this innovative treatment was officially introduced by the founder, Harald Kitz, who recently stayed at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur as guest masseur.

Haki® stretch & relax is a massage treatment especially effective for tight muscles developed from too much desk-bound work. The therapist combines soft pressure massage techniques with vibrations and rhythms to release tension in the area of the shoulders and neck. For each Haki® stretch & relax, a specially created massage oil that blends the essential oils from marjoram, clary and marigold is used to harmonise the nervous system and muscles leaving guests feeling balanced, tranquil and reenergised.

Austrian native, Harald Kitz’s Haki® treatments combine traditional philosophies with emerging therapies, and there are only four specially designed Haki® treatments available at licensed spas worldwide. Haki ® stretch & relax is available to guests at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental for RM250++ for a 50-minute session.

The Spa also offers a range of other holistic spa experiences from ultimate body treatments, body massage and wraps to facials that focus on overall healing and wellness. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur also offers the group’s signature Time Ritual™ , where guests book blocks of time rather than specific treatments. A session begins with an Asian-inspired warm footbath and a cup of herbal tea, and a discussion with the therapist on treatment preferences. The minimum time block is 1 hour 50 minutes and is priced at RM395++.
