Together, the organisations will help global hotel groups cut food-related emissions, elevate plant-based dining, and move the industry closer to its Net Positive goals.

Meredith Marin, Executive Director of Vegan Hospitality, said:
This partnership marks a milestone for the hospitality sector. By joining forces with the Alliance, we’re enabling hotels worldwide to implement practical, scalable solutions that not only reduce emissions but also make vegan-friendly dining a global standard. Our work proves that sustainability and guest satisfaction can go hand-in-hand, creating a win-win for people and the planet.”

Glenn Mandziuk, CEO of the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, said:
We are delighted to welcome Vegan Hospitality as a partner, strengthening our collective efforts to make food systems in hospitality Net Positive. Food systems are at the heart of achieving our industry’s climate goals, and Vegan Hospitality’s expertise in plant-based innovation will support our members in reducing emissions while delivering inclusive, memorable guest experiences.

This partnership builds on the Alliance’s recent white paper, Decarbonising Food Systems in Hospitality, which highlights how food-related emissions account for a significant share of the sector’s climate footprint.

The report provides a roadmap for hotels and restaurants to adopt climate-smart menus, reduce waste, and transition to more sustainable, plant-forward offerings. By integrating Vegan Hospitality’s expertise, the Alliance is putting these recommendations into practice across its global network.

This collaboration also complements the Alliance’s ongoing update of the Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative (HCMI) to include Scope 3 emissions, where food sourcing represents a significant share of the industry’s climate impact.
