Hanging Gardens of Bali, the long-established jungle resort celebrated for its immersive rainforest setting and iconic two-tiered infinity pool, announces the rebranding and reopening of The Hidden Palace – now available as a fully private, standalone villa for exclusive bookings.

Designed by Jessy of Arpha Studio, every detail of The Hidden Palace has been reimagined. Using locally sourced materials, all elements have been custom-designed, from carved wardrobe handles from Jogja, to the leaf-shaped curtain hooks. Ideal for private getaways, intimate weddings, and high profiles gatherings, The Hidden Palace redesign marks a new chapter for the property, centred around personalized luxury and architectural excellence.

The Hidden Palace has always been the cornerstone of Hanging Gardens of Bali, but its transformation into a standalone expansive villa marks a new era of luxury,” said Niclas Prokop, General Manager of Hanging Gardens of Bali.

The renovated five-bedroom villa reflects our continued effort in enhancing the guest experience on property, with unparalleled privacy, craftsmanship, and connection to nature in a setting that celebrates the cultural richness of Bali.”

Nestled within the rainforest and accessible via a private funicular from the main lobby, guests are welcomed through a hand-carved teak door from Jepara into a Joglo-style reception hall, complete with a private bar and wine cellar — a nod to Javanese noble architecture. Built over six years by 600 artisans, the villa is a spectacular showcase of local craftsmanship.

The Hidden Palace spans over 2,000 square meters and features a spacious five-bedroom residence – the Emperor Suite, Presidential Suite, Majestic Suite, and two Garden Suites. Each room blends traditional Balinese craftsmanship with modern comforts and technology, offering guests a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience.

The Emperor Suite, the largest of the five, features the world’s largest authentic Balinese roof without cross beams — an engineering marvel — and includes both indoor and outdoor waterfall showers, a jacuzzi, and vintage photographs of Bali from the 1920s and 1930s.

The centrepiece of The Hidden Palace is an Olympic-sized, 360-degree infinity pool with a floating pavilion where guests can relax and take in the magnificent jungle surroundings. Like the Hanging Gardens of Bali’s iconic two-tiered pool, The Hidden Palace’s pool uses an ecofriendly filtration system and avoids chlorine to protect the surrounding ecosystem.

The Hidden Palace’s pool is supported by the resort’s private water plant and natural sewage treatment facility and underscores the property’s commitment to luxury sustainability — where water returns to mother earth, treated and transformed.

Guests of The Hidden Palace enjoy all-inclusive services, including a 24-hour butler, private chef, and premium transportation tailored to individual needs.

The villa’s al fresco lounge and dining veranda provide the perfect setting for bespoke culinary experiences, with the jungle canopy as a dramatic backdrop. While guests have access to the resort’s full amenities – including the Spa, Yoga Shala, and gym – The Hidden Palace offers a level of privacy and personalization that redefines luxury in Bali.
