Popular Bloomington, Minn. Hotel Completes Transition to Radisson Brand
Radisson Hotels & Resorts(R), a world leader in the hotel industry, today announced the 403-room former Grand Lodge Hotel on East American Boulevard in Bloomington, Minn. has been renamed as the Radisson Hotel Bloomington By Mall of America(R). The hotel is owned by The Wirth Companies, based in Minneapolis.
"Bringing this property under the Radisson brand greatly enhances our presence in the Twin Cities and improves our ability to connect with guests that appreciate the advantages and genuine hospitality a Radisson hotel offers," said Nancy Johnson, the executive vice president of full-service hotels for Carlson Hotels Worldwide and brand leader for Radisson Hotels & Resorts. "We are excited to reestablish Radisson's place in this key traffic corridor, offering a unique hotel experience for both business and leisure travelers."
As part of the conversion, the upscale two-year old hotel has added the custom designed Sleep Number bed by Select Comfort(TM) to one-fourth of its guest rooms. Unlike traditional mattresses, the Sleep Number bed is a key brand differentiator that enables guest to individually adjust the firmness of their mattress at a touch of a button so they can have more control over their hotel stay.
