After 19 years with the Hyatt Group, Claudio Ceccherelli had expressed the wish to be closer to his family in Italy. He therefore left his position as general manager of the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme hotel on 1^st December.

The hotelier, who has extensive experience in the hotel industry, has just been appointed CEO of Shedir Hotel Collection, where he is taking on a major challenge.

The group, founded by Martino Acampora and Eduardo Safdie - also owner of the Capri Tiberio Palace and co-owner of the J.K. Place hotels - has several intimate luxury addresses in Rome and has ambitions to expand to Milan, Venice and internationally.

In the Eternal City, Shedir Hotel Collection owns the 18-room Vilon Roma, a former convent next to the Palazzo Borghese, and the 30-room Maalot Roma, the former home of composer Gaetano Donizetti, located just steps from the Trevi Fountain.

In 2022, the group will open the Palazzo Roma, with 39 rooms and suites, followed by the Palazzo Umilita, with 29 rooms and 17 suites on the majestic Piazza Venezia.
