Le Meridien Cancun Resort and Spa is up and running once again following structural damage suffered in Hurrican Wilma in October. The hotel has been accepting reservations since November 16, 2005 and is now running 100% in readiness for the new year ahead.

All guest rooms are in service and the hotel is operating with all food and beverage offerings in the Aioli Restaurant, Rendez-vous Bar, and in the pool area as well as 24 hour room service. The Mistral ballroom and Tramontane meeting room are also available for functions once again. The Martiniere ballroom, the newest and most extensive ballroom in Cancun is already hosting most of the local events and several groups and conventions. Spa del Mar, the only European style spa in Cancun, also returned to regular operation at the end of November.

Le Meridien Cancun Resort & Spa has opened a Beach Club located adjacent area to the hotel. Guests are able to relax at the beach palapas, enjoying sophisticated cocktails and delicious snacks from the St. Trop pool restaurant with its grill specialties.

The hotel will continue the renovation programme planned for 2006. This includes the spectacular refurbishment of rooms, elegant suites with flat screen TV and for the bathrooms, pressure showers. Travellers and spa members at Spa del Mar will enjoy the ultra modern cardio machines, new spinning bikes and a unique sport impact floor. Keeping the same sophisticated style in food and ambiance, Aioli Restaurant will introduce a great new look with new chinaware and the finest table clothes and curtains.

Cancun is ready and open for business, having overcome the many challenges from the natural events of last year - and is looking forward to a successful 2006. Hotel associates at Le Meridien Cancun Resort & Spa have dedicated all their efforts to recovering the hotel and the region and ensuring it continues to be a beautiful and safe place for travelers.
