De Vere Group announces two new village sites

De Vere Group Plc (De Vere) is pleased to announce that it has exchanged contracts, subject to planning, on two new Village Hotel & Leisure Clubs in Ashton Moss (near Manchester) and Solihull.
These new sites follow the announcement in March 2006, that De Vere exchanged contract on a new Village Hotel & Leisure Club in Farnborough. De Vere also announced new sites in South Leeds and Elstree in November 2005.
This strong pipeline is in addition to the opening of Village Bournemouth in December 2005 and Village Hull in February 2006. The construction of Village Swansea continues to progress well and is scheduled to open in January 2007. De Vere is also in advanced stages of negotiations on a further seven sites.
Commenting on today’s announcement Carl Leaver, Chief Executive said:
“Today’s announcement illustrates the momentum behind the Village growth strategy and endorses our commitment to building the brand around the country. With this pipeline, and the potential for further new sites in the near future, we are on track to achieving our opening target of five hotels a year by 2009/2010.”
