Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts will open its third hotel in China – the Swissôtel Grand, Shanghai – on 15th April, bringing to the city the international hotel group’s legendary Swiss hospitality, uniquely complemented by elements of local culture and flavours.
Enjoying an outstanding location in Shanghai’s Jing’An district, the new hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from Nanjing West Road with its many elegant shops, including Plaza 66 and Citic Square. Other nearby attractions include Jing’An Temple, Shanghai Grand Theatre and the Shanghai Museum, as well as the residential building where Aileen Chang penned her famous novel, Lust, Caution, in the 1940s.
As testimony to the significance of the area, a huge elaborate glass “carving” by renowned Chinese artist, Yang Jiu Sheng, which portrays the street map of the Jing’An district provides a compelling of the lobby.
With 467 rooms and suites, executive floors, an exclusive Club Lounge on the 27th floor and four restaurants and bars, the Swissôtel Grand, Shanghai is designed to meet the requirements of sophisticated business and leisure travellers.

For true chocaholics, a chocolate buffet is served each weekend, with only the very best quality Swiss chocolate used to make the elaborate confections.
Those looking for some time out from their hectic schedule can relax at the Spa & Fitness on the 5th floor, which offers a range of specially created massage, facial and body treatments in one of either three treatment rooms or two VIP suites.
