Regent Hotels & Resorts, a global leader in luxury hospitality, announces Christopher Cestari as new Director of Global Sales. A respected hospitality professional, Cestari brings over twenty years of luxury hotel and cruise experience to his new role.
Cestari will direct global sales efforts for Regent in the United States, promoting the brand’s portfolio of properties in Shanghai, Beijing, Bordeaux, Berlin, Zagreb, Bal Harbour and Turks and Caicos. Cestari will use his luxury sales expertise to focus on upscale travel agencies and corporate accounts, as well as select transient and group efforts. A New York native, Cestari will be based in Manhattan.
Cestari’s appointment is a key new addition to the Regent Hotels & Resorts global organization as the company continues to expand. New Regent properties in 2008 include The Regent Bal Harbour and The Regent Bordeaux. Seven additional developments are scheduled to open worldwide through 2012.
Future Regent properties include The Regent Maldives; The Regent Phuket Cape Panwa, Thailand; The Regent Dubrovnik, Croatia; The Regent Bangkok, Thailand; The Regent Manila Bay, the Philippines; The Regent Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and The Regent Emirates Pearl, United Arab Emirates.
Cestari most recently served as Director of Sales at New York’s Hotel Plaza Athenée. Previous hotel sales positions in New York include the Four Seasons, St. Regis, Omni Berkshire Palace and Forte Hotels Worldwide.
Cestari’s luxury sales experience also includes twelve years with Cunard Line Ltd. As Cruise Sales Executive for the celebrated Queen Elizabeth II, Cestari lived onboard and specialized in selling the ship’s World Cruises.
