Rio Mar Beach Golf Resort, Casino & Spa, A Wyndham Grand Resort, today announced the appointment of Janis C. Parry and Steven T. Patton as national sales managers joining the resort’s growing team.
The team is responsible for implementing sales and marketing strategies to drive business to the 600-room resort.
Parry most recently served as account director at Starwood Caribbean Collection resorts and previously as director of northeast sales at The Westin & Sheraton at Our Lucaya, Grand Bahama Island, where she consistently earned recognition for outstanding achievements. With nearly 28 years of experience in the hospitality and service industries, she will focus her talents on attracting corporate group business and overall account management in the northeast territory.
Patton brings 10 years of experience in the sales and marketing industry to Wyndham Rio Mar. He began working at Starwood Hotels and Resorts in St Louis, Mo. as a global sales coordinator and successfully worked his way up to global account director within six years. Patton has earned many prestigious honors such as Small Meetings Supplier of the Year and Starwood Global Sales Person of the Year. Patton will focus his talents in the midwest corporate and incentive market, continuing to create awareness for Wyndham Rio Mar as a leading business hotel in the region, specializing in innovative meetings and events.
Wyndham Rio Mar is adjacent to the Caribbean National Rain Forest of El Yunque and the Mameyes River. It features a 7,000-square-foot casino; two world-class, 18-hole golf courses; a 7,000-square-foot spa and fitness center; 11 restaurants, lounges and entertainment venues; international tennis center; water sports center; and two beach-front pools.
