Tallest Renaissance Hotel Worldwide Opens in Shanghai, China

Newly opened Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel – a landmark icon in China’s most populated city

Standing 60 stories tall in the Cloud Nine commercial complex, offering panoramic views of Shanghai, the newly opened Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel is quickly becoming an icon for the bustling city.

Meng Lo is general manager of the 684-room property and Eddie Wong is director of marketing. Marriott International is operating the hotel under a management agreement with Summit Property Development Company Limited Shanghai.

The building is visible virtually from every part of the city. The hotel occupies the top 35 floors of the complex with the lobby located on the 25th floor. Deluxe accommodations include executive one bedroom suites and duplex two bedroom suites. A dual-level executive lounge offers wireless internet access, high tea, concierge services and much more. Situated merely 15 minutes from Shanghai’s Hongqiao airport and housed directly above the Zhongshan Park metro station, the hotel’s location is ideal for business and leisure travelers.

Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel offers two dining experiences. Azur Restaurant serves traditional European favorites from Italy, France, Spain and Portugal, complemented by its wine bar that boasts a cellar with an assortment of 100 different wines. Celadon Restaurant presents Thai, Vietnamese and Malaysian cuisine and is open for lunch and dinner. Whether it is morning coffee or afternoon tea, guests can find what they are looking for at the Asian fusion Celadon Tea Lounge that offers more than 36 varieties of global and regional teas or at Zpark Coffee that brews more than 60 kinds of global coffees.

Specially designed for meetings, with a dedicated conference floor, the hotel offers nine meetings rooms, totaling more than 21,000 square feet of meeting space. Its Grand Ballroom has a maximum seating capacity of 1,000 and is fully equipped with high technology facilities and staffed by professional meeting planning experts.

Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel, along with over 2,800 Marriott-affiliated hotels worldwide, participates in Marriott Rewards, the guest reward program that allows members to earn their choice of points or airline miles for dollar spent during each stay.

The Marriott International lodging portfolio in Shanghai includes the JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at Tomorrow Square, Shanghai Marriott Hotel Hongqiao, Renaissance Yangtze Shanghai Hotel, Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel, Renaissance Shanghai Yuyuan Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Shanghai Pudong; Tomorrow Square, Shanghai -Marriott Executive Apartments; Union Square, Shanghai Pudong - Marriott Executive Apartments and Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Xujiahui, opening in February this year.
