The Board of Directors of Hilton Hotels Corporation (NYSE:HLT) has approved the appointment of James T. Harvey to executive vice president and chief information officer. He is located in the Memphis office and reports to Matthew J. Hart, president and chief operating officer.
"I am pleased to recognize Tim Harvey for his dedication to the company and for helping make Hilton an industry leader in information technology," said Hart. "We are confident that Tim will successfully lead the charge to install our propriety Hilton OnQ technology worldwide upon completion of our acquisition of Hilton International."
Harvey previously served as senior vice president and chief information officer. He joined Hilton when it acquired Promus Hotel Corporation in 1999. He is a 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry. Harvey earned a bachelor of business administration degree from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi and a masters of business administration in management from the University of Memphis. He is a member of the Management Information Systems and The Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management Advisory Boards for the University of Memphis and serves on the Delta State University Foundation Board of Directors.
