He takes the helm of Paris’ Left Bank’s most famous "Grand Hotel", one of the jewels of the Concorde Hotels & Resorts brand

Jean-Luc Cousty, 45, has returned to Hotel Lutetia for the 3rd time in his career, this time as General Manager of this mythic, historic hotel.

In the course of his professional life, Jean-Luc Cousty has held a variety of positions within the Concorde Hotels & Resorts Group, which have given him substantial experience of the hotel industry. Indeed, he began his career as receptionist at Hotel du Louvre, going on to discover Hotel Lutetia for the first time in 1990, as Administrative Manager, before joining Hotel Concorde La Fayette where he held the same position. Back in Hotel Lutetia in 1996, he took on the duties of Operational Manager, Catering, for 3 years. He then changed course in 1999, joining Hotel Méridien Etoile which he headed until his current appointment.

During that latter experience, he was successful in leading many projects to fruition, such as the full refurbishment of the hotel, the transition following the arrival of a new operator, as well as the deployment of the Méridien’s new corporate image. As he gets back to his roots today, there is no doubt that his 25-year experience will be of great benefit to this prime Parisian venue.

“As this great establishment prepares to celebrate its centennial, having opened in 1910, I am really glad to be in a position to take the helm and to contribute, together with an accomplished team, in ‘writing’ a few additional pages of its outstanding history. My ambition is to keep helping the hotel progress, and to set it within new forward-looking perspectives, while taking care to maintain its patent of nobility – and by that I mean its charm and hospitality, which make it one of the capital’s leading venues,” declares Jean-Luc Cousty.

“I am pleased with Jean-Luc Cousty’s appointment, for given his various experiences, his attachment and in-depth knowledge of Hotel Lutetia, he will undoubtedly take part in
developing it and in positioning it as the leading venue on the Left Bank,” says Bernard Granier, Chief executive officer for Concorde Hotels & Resorts Group.

We wish him all the success in this new venture.
