Stein Management Company, the company behind Franklyn Hotels and Resorts, has appointed Mark Dunford to the position of Development Director in their Barcelona Head Office, a strategic addition to Stein’s team, as the company is presently focusing on an aggressive growth plan.
Dunford brings to Stein a comprehensive background in financial analysis for hotels and resorts, having most recently served in the London offices of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, where his primary responsibility was in the capital markets team working on asset sales and acquisitions. He was involved in a number of deals on both a portfolio and single asset basis with transactions totaling some GBP 120 million.
“Mark will play a vital role in our efforts to grow the Franklyn Hotels and Resorts’ portfolio,” said Michael Sagild, CEO of Stein Management Company. “His expertise in hotel transactions will be a genuine asset to us when we are seeking to both acquire properties and sign management agreements for our brand”.
Dunford was also part of the start-up team at industry-leading The Bench (Now STR Global) where his main role was the UK-wide rollout of the service. He was involved in multiple aspects of the organization’s overall development which saw the company grow from 300 to 2500 members. He speaks English, Swahili and French.
