Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort & Spa opens its doors
Hilton Hotels Corporation has announced its first Hilton Worldwide Resort brand in Turkey, with the arrival of Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort & Spa. Operated under a franchise licence agreement with Gocay Tourism, Management, Investment, Transportation & Trade Inc, the resort becomes the company’s ninth property in the country.
Welcoming the announcement, Simon Vincent, President of Hilton Hotels - Europe said: “Over the past 50 years we have built a significant Hilton presence in Turkey so we are delighted to be adding our first dedicated resort property to our portfolio. With high quality, upscale accommodation in short supply in this market, Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort & Spa aspires to become one of the area’s leading properties, boasting superb golf and leisure facilities, not to mention state-of-the-art rooms and meetings space.”

Located on Sarigerme beach next to the mouth of the Dalaman River, the new Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort & Spa offers a total of 410 well appointed guest rooms, including 52 spacious suites. Combining contemporary design and some of the latest in-room technologies demanded by today’s traveller, all guest rooms offer private balconies with sweeping views of the Aegian Sea or Sarigerme mountain range.
Complete with its own private kilometre long beach, Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort & Spa is made up of a series of interconnecting buildings, pools and landscaped gardens. The resort offers a range of leisure facilities, including an integrated 6000m² health club and spa with state-of-the-art gym and treatment rooms, seven outdoor and three indoor swimming pools and two tennis courts. For families there is also a dedicated children’s swimming area and on-site Aqua Park with water slides and relaxation pool. Scheduled to open in 2010, the resort’s 18-hole golf course and nine-hole golf academy facility will position the property to be Dalaman’s premier golf retreat. Other activities available to guests include water sports, scuba diving and snorkelling, beach volleyball, tennis, horse riding and bowling.
In addition to its leisure facilities, Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort & Spa will cater to business travellers by offering year-round, flexible meeting and conference space when its meeting facilities scheduled to open at the beginning of 2010. With one of the region’s largest holistic themed spas, along with world class leisure and golf facilities, the resort will be the perfect choice for the meetings and incentive market.

Stretching along over five kilometres of Turkey’s south western coast, Dalaman’s Sarigerme Beach is renowned for its spectacular scenery and views across the Aegean Sea. Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort & Spa is conveniently located only ten kilometres from Dalaman International Airport making it easily accessible for international and domestic travellers alike. The resort is a short walk from Sarigerme town centre.
Hilton has a long and established history in Turkey, opening its first hotel, Hilton Istanbul, in 1955. Together with Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort & Spa, the company also operates eight more properties - seven Hilton hotels and one Conrad - across six locations (Adana, Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Kayseri, Mersin). The company plans to introduce its mid-market Hilton Garden Inn brand later this year with the opening of its first property in Kutahya.
