On August 1 the elegant Kempinski Hotel Adriatic on the Istrian coast will open its doors to welcome business and leisure travellers alike. Kempinski will be the first international luxury hotel group to be present in this up-and-coming and still relatively undiscovered region of Croatia. www.kempinski-adriatic.com

Located on the north-western coast of Istria, the beautiful seaside resort offers spacious accommodation with 165 rooms and 21 suites with a warm, Mediterranean feel and atmosphere. Private balconies or terraces overlook either the sea – on clear days guests can even see Venice - or the landscaped gardens and golf course. Modern amenities such as complimentary high speed internet access, wireless LAN, touch screen IP phones, Bang & Olufsen TVs and HiFi equipment are available in all rooms.

The hotel has 19 splendid suites, as well as two luxurious presidential suites on the property’s top floor, both enjoying a magnificent view over the sea. The spacious presidential suites are genuine private residences with a dining area, living room, a small study and a private roof terrace with Jacuzzi.

Three restaurants with international and regional specialties are a constant temptation; the à la carte Dijana offers outstanding Mediterranean specialties, the Kanova restaurant, with its own terrace overlooking the Adriatic Sea, serves authentic Istrian dishes and Slice lists grilled dishes, healthy snacks and salads on its menu. Four strategically placed bars ensure that there is always a watering hole close by.

A state-of-the-art business centre, one ballroom and two board rooms, plus a separate conference centre for up to 300 delegates cater for all business travellers’ needs. The Kempinski Hotel Adriatic has its very own chapel on site, which is beautifully set within lush gardens; the perfect spot to get married.

Leisure travellers cherish the private beach and the endless possibilities of water sports. The Kempinski Golf Adriatic, the first 18-hole championship golf course in Istria, will ensure a challenging play for golfers at all levels. The Greco-Roman style Carolea Spa offers a perfect escape opportunity from the strains of everyday life. Spread over 3,000 sqm with one indoor pool with Jacuzzi and two heated outdoor pools, it comprises 16 treatment rooms, floating tank, ice cabin, Kneipp bench, relaxing areas with water beds, steam bath and various saunas (tepidarium, laconium, caldarium). For a more active workout, a fully equipped gym with state-of-the-art Technogym machines, personal trainer, weights and four tennis courts. Kids are perfectly looked after at the Kids’ Villa, with its all day long entertainment and attractive programme. The villa also offers an exciting outdoor playground and own kids’ pool.

Part of the resort is 20 luxury apartments and 22 stand-alone villas, in four different designs, available for sale.

The Kempinski Hotel Adriatic can be reached by boat within two hours from Venice. The nearest international airport is in Trieste (85km) and during summer season (June-August) British Airways, Croatia Airlines, Ryanair and Thompson Fly fly to the Croatian national airports Pula, Rijeka and Zagreb.
