The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali organised a painting exhibition themed “Be Fashion”, a painting exhibition by Ms. Ni Nyoman Sani specially opened by Miss Martine Andraos – Miss Lebanon 2009, Miss Ayu Diandra Sari - 1st runner up Puteri Bali 2008, Miss Ita Roosyani Dewi – 2nd runner up Puteri Bali 2009, Mr. Ahmad Sofyan – the media social & cultural affair from Embassy of Indonesia in Lebanon and Mr. Andrew Fairbairn – the director of sales & marketing of The Laguna on Wednesday, 9 June 2010 at Cascade Bar of the resort. “Be Fashion”, a painting exhibition by Ni Nyoman Sani is open for public from 10 June until 23 June 2010 at Mayang Sari Restaurant of The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali.

Miss Martine Andraos – Miss Lebanon 2009 is proudly to join this charity event while visiting Bali, the island of home many Indonesian and International Artists. She has also visited Padang, Jakarta and Bandung for social & charity mission in Indonesia.

Ms. Ni Nyoman Sani is one of very rare to find women artists in Bali, She was born in Sanur on 10 August 1975 as the 7th of 8 children. In 1993, she took a year learning English when finally she got formal training in painting at STSI (Indonesian Art College), Denpasar, Bali. Ms. Ni Nyoman Sani has been exhibiting her collection abroad, including in Singapore, Italy, Melbourne and recently in Holland at 2009. The painting are available for sale and profits will be donated to The Laguna’s Green Initiatives by planting some indigenous plant in Bali

On this occasion Ni Nyoman Sani brings her 9 (nine) artistic work which most of her collections are based on the world of fashion. As an artist, she views fashion as a fraction of the representing reality around her. Thus, Sani’s works reflect subtler objection on the imposed ideal imagery through fashion.

The Laguna’s Green Initiatives by planting some scarce plant in Bali. This green program is reflecting to the well-known Hindu’s Balinese life of concept, Tri Hita Karana. One of the Tri Hita Karana pillars is Palemahan which is highlighting a harmonious life between the people with its surrounding community while Starwood Hotel & Resorts also have a similar program called Starwood Care and in this part related to Care to Community.
