Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort Features Summer Vacation Savings and Spacious Luxury Villa Accommodations, Full Kitchen, Sheltered Beach

The award-winning Green Certified Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort, St. Lucia, celebrated World Oceans Day on June 8, 2010, by doing what it does so well year round -- creating a fun-filled environment that also communicates to children the importance of preserving the environment and in particular the ocean. The luxury family resort’s popular complimentary Jacquot Fun Club, named for St. Lucia’s famed green parrot, regularly incorporates these values throughout its daily programming.

The magical hour at the St. Lucia family-friendly resort Windjammer Landing is 10am, when doors to the Jacquot Fun Club officially open and provides fun daily activities that capture the imagination of children ages four to 12 years old. Parents are happy knowing that the Jacquot Fun Club program is well supervised, caring and engaging. The Club is open daily between 10 am and 4 pm and from 6:30 pm to 10 pm, allowing parents plenty of couple time if they wish. Nanny service is also available for an additional fee.

A typical day for kids at Windjammer Landing’s Club includes story telling, patois language lessons, beach and nature walks, and limbo and reggae dancing provide children a sense of St. Lucia’s unique land, language and culture, plus water related activities like snorkeling, beach Olympics and more. Kids learn to mix delicious smoothies or cook special island themed foods. Optional offsite trips, available for an additional fee, include Jeep Safari Tours and visits to a small nearby zoo to see some of St. Lucia‘s native animals and birds.

Families sail around the bay on the Hobie Cats, Aquafin sailboats, windsurfers and other watercraft, available to guests on a complimentary basis at the Water Sports Center. Many enjoy the daily complimentary banana boat and tube rides. Waterskiing is also extremely popular at Windjammer Landing. Kids of all ages scramble up an inflated Iceberg and splash down the slide anchored just offshore. At night, savvy young guests often like to “dress” for theme nights, which include Pajama Party, Kids Cocktail Night, Disco Night and Pirates Night as well as movie, pizza and other parties.

“We make each child feel important and cared for,” says Jacquot Fun Club Supervisor Gale Charles. “There are never more than five children per counselor. We greet each child with a coloring book that introduces them to St. Lucia’s unusual attractions, such as the Jacquot parrot, which is unique to the island. We also love to take children for nature walks and include water related activities that allow them to experience the amazing things that make the island special.”

Spacious Villas & Summer Savings, Low Airfares
“Splash into Summer” savings, with 50 percent savings off of two-, three-, and four-bedroom villas are now in affect. Two-bedroom villas start at $399 per night. Plus to ensure families fully enjoy the resort and St. Lucia, up to $1,400 in Sun Dollars (resort credit) will be provided per week depending on villa size selected. The summer program is valid for travel June 1 through September 5, 2010. This summer airfares to St. Lucia are the lowest ever, starting at only $256 roundtrip by American, JetBlue and Delta, and $298 roundtrip by WestJet and Air Canada, depending on departure gateway.

Families enjoy Windjammer Landing and return year-after-year to its spacious, luxurious villas, many with private plunge pools. Fully equipped kitchens offer the added convenience, while popular on-site restaurants serve children’s menus. A favorite family experience is the extensive daily breakfast buffet.
The resort resembles a picturesque Mediterranean village with whitewashed, red-tile roofed villas that nestle into the fragrant, flowering hillside, overlooking a glorious crescent beach. Steps from the villas, the 60-acre resort offers the Serenity Spa, restaurants, bars, shops, water sports, and all the amenities of a full-service resort, making Windjammer Landing the perfect getaway for families, couples and groups seeking top-level service, amenities and activities.
