Sonesta International Hotels Corporation announces its first hotel in South Carolina, the AAA 4-Diamond, 340-room Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island. Scheduled to come under Sonesta management on April 27th, this destination resort is located in the legendary beach town of Hilton Head Island, less than 45 miles from Savannah and 90 miles from Charleston. The resort is owned by Hospitality Properties Trust HPT +0.35% and will be managed by Sonesta.
Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island offers a beautifully landscaped relaxed setting on the Atlantic Ocean. Guest rooms offer luxurious bedding, high speed internet access, and refreshment center. Each guest room and suite offers a private balcony. The resort features a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, snack bar and sundeck, beach club and the convenience of golf and tennis nearby.
With 20,000 square feet of functional meeting space, Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island also accommodates meetings and events. The oceanfront pavilion offers spectacular views perfect for wedding receptions. Several restaurants include fine and casual dining.
