A component of the Bund Urban Complex Project, Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund boasts easy access to both historical landmarks and modern cultural and commercial centres.

Shanghai’s First All River View Hotel

Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund is the first hotel in the city to provide river views from each of the resort’s 130 rooms. Expansive accommodation boasts generous interiors and oversized windows with views that open out onto the broad Bund thoroughfare and Huangpu River beyond. A variety of room types are available, including the signature Oasis Room with Romantic Pool which features a private dipping pool. In addition, the Banyan Suite will include a generously-sized swimming pool, a unique offering among Shanghai hotels.

Each of the guestrooms and suites features all the comforts and conveniences for which Banyan Tree is renowned. An Expediency Box is placed outside each guestroom for pick-up and delivery of polished shoes, laundry and dry-cleaning. Six different pillow choices ensure maximum comfort and a rooms are refreshed with a different therapeutic scent each day.

Dining Facilities

The hotel’s four food and beverage outlets - Oceans, Ming Yuan, Banyan Lounge and Stars - offer a wide range of dining experiences. From Western seafood restaurant Oceans to Chinese restaurant Ming Yuan, featuring Cantonese-style cuisine and picturesque garden views, along with a high-end Japanese sashimi and sushi counter, Tai Hei, guests have a plethora of dining venues to choose from.
The alfresco roof top bar Stars features a spectacular panorama of the Huangpu River and is an ideal setting in which to enjoy sunset cocktails.

A Sensory Experience at Banyan Tree Spa

Spanning three floors of the resort, the award-winning spa features 11 exquisitely appointed treatment rooms along with a beauty salon, nail bar and Banyan Tree Gallery. Rejuvenating Asian-inspired wellness therapies are delivered by professional therapists trained by the renowned Banyan Tree Spa Academy.
The Banyan Indulgences features holistic signature treatments for total renewal. The 150-minute signature package, Banyan Hot Stones, is a harmonising treatment where heated stones are soothingly massaged over the body along with the use of warm Clarity Oil to exert warmth and pressure on energy points for smoother flow of “qi” and discharge of toxins. It concludes with a Rose Body Scrub, Chrysanthemum Body Conditioner and Rose Bath to leave the skin nourished and soft.

Inspired by the ancient Yin and Yang concept, the 120-minute Chinese Traditions features a selection of classic Chinese therapies. Yin For Her - Sweet Serenade package will unveil the glow with a unique blend of Soya Mint Body Scrub which works to deeply cleanse and moisturise while the Oriental Massage and Oriental Head Massage improve blood circulation. The Yang For Him - Renewed Vigour package highlights a Tropical Lush Body Scrub which exfoliates dead skin cells, an Herbal Mud Body Wrap to moisturise and ends with a Choice of Body Massages to alleviate sore muscles.
