One of the most innovative and authentic travel destinations that has ever launched in the Caribbean, reservations are now being accepted for stays starting on 12th December 2014.

Set on the north coast of St. Kitts, amid 400 acres on the fertile slopes of Mt. Liamuiga, Belle Mont Farm will immerse guests in local culture and heritage, an organic farming community, and distinct farm-to-table culinary experiences at The Kitchen restaurant & The Mill bar. Wellness offerings will elevate mind, body and spirit. Kittitian Hill’s organic farm will offer a world-class collection of exotic fruits and vegetables, with accommodations thoughtfully sowed into the landscape. Designed by award-winning world-renowned architect Bill Bensley, 84 Guesthouses and seven, four-bedroom Farmhouses will feature panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and neighboring islands such as St Barths. Overseen by General Manager Carlos Salazar, Belle Mont Farm amenities will include Irie Fields Golf Course and The Workshop fitness center. The famed Golden Lemon Inn at Dieppe Bay will be a part of the Kittitian Hill community, offering a seafood restaurant, beach club and bar.

Forage & Feast: Good food is at the heart of Belle Mont Farm. Farmers, Foragers and Chefs will ensure that dishes are prepared from the freshest ingredients harvested from farms, tropical forests and the Caribbean Sea. Wooden baskets will be provided to encourage guests to forage from the farmland that surrounds them – an edible landscape – including passion fruit, bananas and pineapple. Baskets of fresh fruit will be delivered to guest rooms each morning. Located at the Great House, The Kitchen restaurant & The Mill bar will offer sweeping views and farm-to-table fare under the leadership of Executive Chef Christophe Letard.

Community & Authenticity: Guests will immerse themselves in St. Kitts’ heritage and culture, interacting with the local community and each other. Onsite, they will have an opportunity to explore and engage with dedicated Kittitian farmers who will share their knowledge. Enrichment opportunities will be abundant, including instructional cooking classes and workshops.

Sustainability & Design: Sustainability is at the core of Belle Mont Farm, from Bill Bensley’s design carried through to guest experiences, as overseen by Kittitian Hill’s Director of Sustainability Jeff Palmer. Belle Mont Farm’s design mirrors the architecture of traditional chattel houses, and all structures are being sensitively placed to have minimal impact on the rich agricultural landscape. Guesthouses will offer open verandas and private infinity pools, sweeping views, and al fresco bathrooms with rainwater showers and freestanding roll-top bath. A skilled team of local craftsmen are building Belle Mont Farm using Caribbean techniques, local materials, and sustainable resources. Such detail as traditional wooden shingles and Kittitian stone allow the structures to blend in with their surroundings. Spacious Farmhouses will offer four bedrooms giving ample room for up to eight people. Built around a central living area and professional kitchen, the Farmhouses will include the services of team of private and dedicated housekeeping staff.

Guests of Belle Mont Farm will discover subtle modern touches, proving that sustainability does not have to come at a cost to guest comfort. Rather than TV’s, Tablets in each Guesthouse will be loaded with thoughtfully selected films that can be viewed on pull-down screens via projectors to create a cinema-like experience. Fridges will be stocked with fresh local products and a selection of six wines, curated by the Sommelier. Private Guesthouse attendants will be assigned to each accommodation and a 24-hour concierge will cater to guests’ every need. Belle Mont Farm is a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts.

Another highlight of the sustainable design, Irie Fields will be a Par 71, 18-hole golf course that will embrace its natural landscape and impress even the most seasoned pro. Designed by legendary Welsh golfer-turned-golf-course-designer, Ian Woosnam, the complex course will offer challenging, yet exciting obstacles at every turn. Irie Fields is the first golf course to acquire certification in the Golf Environment Organization’s LEGACY Program, which showcases the world’s most sustainable golf developments.

Kittitian Hill is a $600 million hospitality and real estate destination anchored in the holistic philosophy of sustainability, authenticity and a belief that luxury is not signaled by possessions but rather by a commitment to one’s community and its culture. The destination is founded on the four cornerstones of sustainability – cultural, economic, social and ecological. The brainchild of Val Kempadoo, a social entrepreneur with Caribbean roots, Kittitian Hill will be a catalyst for change in the region to bring lasting benefits to the islanders and economy.

Future phases of the Kittitian Hill development will be unveiled in 2015, including: Mango Walk Spa, a secluded destination spa in a forest of giant mango trees, which will offer indigenous treatments; The Table restaurant and its adjoining Red Rum bar, which will boast the Caribbean’s largest selection of rum; Yaya Groves, a collection of three- and four-bedroom private villas available to rent or purchase; The Village, which will be the heartbeat of Kittitian Hill, where community and culture will thrive. Eateries and shops will complement art galleries, artisan workshops, a film school and open-air cinema; And a transformation of Golden Lemon Inn at Dieppe Bay (10 minutes from Belle Mont Farm), which will undergo an extensive restoration to breathe new life into this iconic retreat. In addition to the beach club, seafood restaurant and bar being unveiled this December, the Golden Lemon will offer accommodations for guests upon completion of its full renovation in 2015.

Introductory rates at Belle Mont Farm start at US$800 per night* (approximately £490), double occupancy, including breakfast. Continental breakfast with fruit from the farm and fresh-baked breads will be delivered to rooms each morning. The experience will be infused with added value including a complimentary airport arrival experience via the brand new YU Lounge, the most luxurious way to arrive to St. Kitts. Guests will be met at their aircraft and delivered in style to the lounge. While the YU lounge team assists with customs and immigration, guest luggage will be transferred directly from tarmac to a chauffeured vehicle, all executed seamlessly. Travelers will receive 25% discount off room rate when booking more than 60-days in advance of stay. As an added incentive to be one of the first guests of Belle Mont Farm, those staying before January 31, 2015 will have access to unlimited golf on Irie Fields.
