By booking the hotel’s So Couture by Ecole Lesage room package, guests can enjoy luxurious accommodation and other treats, including their own handmade bracelet to take home with them. The package is available from October 15.

Working for the greatest names in fashion, Paris-based Maison Lesage is recognized worldwide as a guardian of the rare and precious art form: embroidery. Commissioned to create a fan for Mandarin Oriental, Paris at its opening, Maison Lesage has since become a legendary ambassador for Parisian Haute Couture at the hotel, which is one of only nine in the French capital to have earned ‘Palace’ distinction. In addition to making Mandarin Oriental, Paris’s elegant fan symbol, Maison Lesage has created embroideries for bedheads, furniture and wall fabrics in the hotel’s largest suites.

Deepening its successful collaboration with the Palace, Maison Lesage will share its knowledge and skills with guests booking the So Couture by Ecole Lesage package by inviting them to its school: Ecole Lesage. In an exclusive two-hour private lesson, suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced, guests will discover the secrets of Lunéville hook and needle techniques with the most experienced Maison Lesage embroiderers. During the course, guests will fashion their own personalized bracelet to take home with them as a souvenir.

The So Couture by Ecole Lesage package is priced from EUR1,400 per night, and includes:

  • Minimum two night’s luxurious accommodation
  • Daily breakfast at Camélia or in-room
  • A private two-hour embroidery course at Ecole Lesage
  • A handmade bracelet fashioned by the guest

The package is available from 15 October 2016 subject to availability, and rates are based on two people sharing for minimum two night’s stay.

Reservations can be made through Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s on-line reservations service at www.mandarinoriental.com or by contacting the reservations office at Mandarin Oriental, Paris on +33 1 7098 7333 / mopar-reservations@mohg.com.
